Skeng Disses Masicka On New Song ‘Day Break’

It’s been three days of hype and hope for a lyrical clash between Skeng and Masicka, following the release of the Protocol deejay’s new song Day Break.

Though he did not mention Masicka by name, Skeng asserts, among other things we won’t repeat here, that his foe “cyaah fire none tall; that a wet matches.”  The lines are a direct reference to Masicka’s recent song Pack A Matches, in which he sings that he’s firing like “10 pack a matches.”

Masicka has been very clear in the past about challenging ‘any deejay,’ referring to the likes of Tommy Lee Sparta and Gage as “circus clowns” and Alkaline as being “afraid” of a war. Perhaps, he does not consider Skeng—who rose to stardom only a year ago—a worthy opponent, or isn’t convinced that Day Break requires a response.

According to the Internet detectives, Masicka threw the first subliminal jab by pointing out on social media that, “a coke head tek molly.” The statement was perceived as a shot at Skeng, who openly sings about popping the drug.

Ratty Gang fans have since come out to root for their favorite artist in the possible clash, with one posing the question on Twitter, “If a young Alkaline f-ck up Gaza, why a young Skeng can’t beat Masicka[?]”

Masicka fans, on the other hand, are seemingly unbothered by the “man wid 5 chune.”

“There is no way on earth people actually believe Skeng could a clash Masicka and win,” said one Twitter fan.

In the meantime, Masicka just wrapped up his Summer Fest performance in St. Vincent on the weekend, which also saw appearances from Popcaan, Teejay, Jada Kingdom, Shaneil Muir, Christopher Martin, Vanessa Bling and others.

Skeng is currently basking in the hype of his new DiTruth Records and 3 Kings Music Group-produced track Day Break, which is inching its way to a million streams since it was released 3 days ago.
