Nervz – Notice Me

Produced by Quantanium Records, Dancehall newcomer Nervz says he’s is here to stay in his new single Notice Me.  Nervz reveals that he has ‘forwarded from a deadly past’, and vows never to go back. He delivers a convincing narrative while taking in the views at the grounds of the Folly Great House in Port Antonio in the Blacq Road Media Film-directed music video, here:

Buju Banton – Madda Badda 

Reggae legend Buju Banton has released his first single for 2022, titled Madda Badda, produced by J August. The new single, which was released in collaboration with Ghetto Youths International and Gargamel Music, mixes classic Dancehall rhythm with contemporary sounds. Madda Badda comes after Banton raised concerns that the quality of Dancehall music has waned.  In the song, the veteran deejay touts his esteem in the game, spitting the lyrics, “One Gargamel, unno wont ever see another dem boy dey a nuh threat, a wah do you bredda.”

Beenie Man – So Me Stay

Old Dog’ deejay Beenie Man is back to his old ways in a new gyalis track So Me Stay.  The veteran singer says he can’t deny his magnetism for the ladies; singing, “A so me stay, get a new gyal every day” on the DJ Frass Records-produced track. Though he’s not short on female companionship, he has his sights set on a few industry mates: “Mi want gyal wah strong like Etana, turn back way and take the iguana. Shenyeng and Ishawna, mi give yuh straight sugar cane like farmer!” Watch the Xtreme Arts-directed visuals here:

Bounty Killer – Up Deh

Bounty Killer proves he can do no wrong in this entry on Tall King’s Gyal Up riddim titled Up Deh. Flexing a pulsating lyrical flow, the Dancehall legend brings the hype and party vibes on this one. Check it out here:

The Yutes, Masicka – Get Money

The Yutes, a brother duo composed of Chris and Santris, the sons of Dancehall legend Mr. Lexx, has a new single Get Money with Genahsyde artiste Masicka.

The single, which was produced by Babygrande Records, is The Yutes’ lead single from their forthcoming album. In the track, the three artists bring a fusion of modern trap elements to share their quest to “get money”. Shot in the hub of Kingston, Jamaica watch the Shane Creative-directed visuals below.

Busy Signal – Watch Gyal

Busy Signal says he’s not the “watchy or claffy type” in his new track Watch Gyal, produced by Sean ‘YoungPow’ Diedrick and Lionchld. Though he engrosses listeners in a descriptive account of an overly insecure lover in the track, the Dancehall star asserts himself as anything but, “You a watch yuh gyal, me a snatch yuh gyal, then she connect to the ‘Signal’, real original, some ah call me pussy criminal – you get the visual?” he dishes in lyrics. Charly Black – No Molly

Charly Black says him ‘naww pop no molly’ just pass the good ole weed in his latest track, produced by Akeem Bowen of One General Music. Not bowing to peer pressure, the Dancehall star inspires the younger folks to follow the beat of their own drum in the new single. “This project is targeting the younger generation of Dancehall fans. Conveying a deeper message that it’s okay not to be a part of every trend and can say no to peer pressure,” Charly Black said of the song. Listen here:

Rosh Reign x Devin Di Dakta – Easy

Easy is a new must-have summer love song for your playlist by Rosh Reign (formerly known as Rosh Rebel) and Devin Di Dakta. Produced by ZihKing of City Rock Entertainment, the sultry collaboration is a fusion of Dancehall, R&B with a little Hip Hop flavor. Rosh pushes through her usual sweet-sounding vocals about an “easy” love affair, while Di Dakta meets her romantic moods.
