Reggae instrumentalist Addis Pablo believes there’s still a place in Jamaica for Dub and Instrumental music.

“It is a known fact that there’s a bigger market abroad for Dub and Reggae instrumental music however, there’s sufficient appreciation for my music in Jamaica and I am very grateful for that. Music is always changing and evolving but the Rockers will never die because it is interwoven in Jamaican culture and world music. Without a doubt there will always be a place for this kind of music in Jamaica,” he said.

The highly acclaimed musician and composer recently released a brand new album titled Melodies From The House Of Levi.

The 12-track album features collaborations with Mutabaruka, Earl Sixteen, Exile Di Brave, Kenny, Smyth, George Palmer, Var and Ras Teo.

“It’s been a while since I released an album so my fans are very happy that I have a new album out now. The feedback I’m getting about it is tremendous. One of my fans recently told me that he’s going to use Narrow Roads which is one of the tracks on the album to introduce him and his bride at their upcoming wedding ceremony which will be held in the UK,” said Addis Pablo.

Produced by JahSolidRock Music, Melodies From The House Of Levi, was released to all digital platforms including Itunes, Spotify and Amazon on the 5th of May.

Addis Pablo is currently preparing to embark on a tour of Brazil.

“I’m going on a tour of Brazil later this month in support of my album. While on tour I’ll be performing songs from this album and some of my previous albums. I will also pay tribute to my father Jamaica’s legendary Melodica King Augustus Pablo by performing some of his songs on the tour.”

He also plans to release remixes of some of his late father’s original productions including Stop Them Jah by Hugh Mundell and the HIM Book single with Producer/Guitarist Leroy Pennicott later this year.
