It might have been a disappointing evening for some of the Grammy’s Best Reggae Album nominees after Virginia-based Reggae band SOJA copped the category’s golden gramophone but we’re still reeling from their red carpet looks.

All but one (Etana) of the nominees in the Reggae category showed up for the 64th Grammy awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas today. Here’s a look at Spice, Sean Paul, Jesse Royal, and Gramps Morgan and others who turned out on the red carpet to support them.

Spice

Spice, who was nominated for her debut album 10, came out in true red carpet fashion donning quite the stately look. For her Grammy entrance, the Queen of Dancehall wore a white lace, sheer bodycon dress with glimmery pearl embellished detail, and paired it with an overly ruffled red coverall. To complete her lavish ensemble, Spice chose aqua-green tinted hair, which she swept up in a moderate updo.  Her boyfriend Justin Budd was on hand to make sure everything was perfect.

Sean Paul

Dutty Paul, who was nominated for his album Live N’ Livin, sure came to make a statement at this year’s Grammys, but that was not a surpise. The deejay’s black, ‘chalk-outline’ style trench coat, which was dotted with safety pins was a hard number to miss. Turning up the Temperature just a little more, he paired this look with a black turtleneck shirt and white-printed black pants, and donned matching sneakers.

Jesse Royal

Nominated for his sophomore album Royal, Reggae star Jesse Royal arrived on the red carpet looking dapper as ever.  Styled by Tribe Nine Studios, he wore a golden-yellow and white patterned, African trench coat and pants suit. Keeping it chic, Jesse finished his look with a pair of white kicks and accessorized with fine gold jewelry.

Gramps Morgan

Nominated for his Positive Vibrations album, Reggae singer Gramps Morgan was looking classy in a yellow suede blazer over full black – shirt with bow tie and pants. To top off his look, he paired the outfit with a red cowboy-inspired open crown hat with black and yellow trimmings.

Shaggy

Also spotted at the Grammys was Mr. Bombastic himself, Shaggy. Though not nominated came to support his colleagues and Spice especially, whose album he executive-produced. Opting for a pretty casual look, the Reggae star wore a leather jacket and sleek army pants.
