Ziggy Marley, while frontally rebuking Russian President Vladimir Putin for ordering his soldiers to invade Ukraine, has condemned other world leaders whom he said, have similarly been investing precious resources into buying destructive weapons, without any regard for the lives of the innocent.

Labelling the 69-year-old Russian President’s hostile incursion of neighbouring Ukraine, and references to his nation’s vast nuclear stockpile as a “f’kd up move”,  the Rebellion Rises singer said it was the most vulnerable including children and the elderly, who were suffering and not the instigators of the war or the people the political officials whom they were at odds with.

“WTF VLAD!? who here stands with #ukraine against bullyism ? I and I do!!  oil is a burden to humanity those who have it hold the world hostage to their whims and those who want to control it have killed millions to do so for their war/ and domination machine.  Seedemfakeleaders,” the singer wrote on Instagram on a photo of the president on Saturday, hours after Russian troops began to infiltrate Ukraine.

“Ukranians were going about their daily lives peacefully and then came war what did they do to deserve this did they attack russia and what should they do now?” he mused later in the comments.

Ziggy, who is the first son of Rita and Bob Marley, said as a consequence, the populations of the world should make sure this conflict is the last time a leader can arbitrarily get up and do things which threaten the survival of all humanity.

“Let these days be the last gasps of all these world leaders fighting for power and domination of the planet rise up all loving people stand against oppression, racism, hateful ideaology, injustice anywhere and everywhere the congregation of love #billions strong,” Ziggy declared.

Using his 2017 song See Dem Fake Leaders about trifling politicians from wealthy countries, to reinforce his point, Ziggy also labelled Putin and those of his ilk as a shame to humanity.

The True To Myself singer later declared that megalomaniac leaders are unconcerned about whether the rest of people “to give up on our dreams of love and peace while they live out their dreams of war , hate and domination for themselves”.

He also sought to clarify his initial references to oil, inferring that since Russia is Europe’s largest crude oil producer in the world, many of his neighbouring European countries, and even the US, were scared of voicing disapproval of Putin’s behaviour.

“Don’t get me wrong.  I know this isn’t a war specifically about oil but oil energy plays an underlining role in it all.  Who needs it have less will power and sway than who got it and who got it thinks they can walk around and puff up their chest, cause like a dealer he/she knows the addicts can’t do without their drug for too long,” he said.

“The dealers know their customers and the customers know eventually they are gonna need their fix so they will pretend to care about human life and war crimes when it benefits them and they are even worst if they have the big bad nuclear bomb.  What do we think most world leaders from the 🇺🇸 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🇫🇷 🇩🇪 etc are thinking about now? the human suffering or the price and supply of oil. Which one?” he asked.

The eight-time Grammy winner was cheered on by his brother Rohan Marley and nephew Nico Marley, and a slew of fans. Some of whom who said the ordinary people should join forces to “chase those crazy politicians and presidents out of town”.

“Dun know the whole of dem tricky feel sorry for the innocent men, women and children caught in the middle of their bullshit,” he said later on.

There were some followers who sought to justify Putin’s actions, among them kmaid71 who told him that “Ukraine has been a money laundering cesspool for a long time” and  soulbrotherj, who said that Ziggy’s caption on his post, was “ignorant” as the Ukranian Government is extremely corrupt, among other things.

However, Ziggy told him that all the leaders were culpable and his bone of contention was the unnecessary loss of lives taking place during the conflict.

“I’m not talking politics im talking humanitics all these world leaders are responsible putin is on the bug stage right now and deserves this attention but it doesn’t absolve all the others of their culpability for the world we live in today,” he said.

Ziggy went on to add that world leadership needs a revolutionary change to achieve the peace humanity desires, as the current crop of world leaders appear to be spineless and power-hungry, and acting more terrible than wild beasts.

“All this is caused by weak men who cannot lead the world to where it needs to be.  If we had real leaders there would be no more need for NATO vs Russia.  The problem is the leaders see everyone wants to dominate the other and some love power so much they can’t give it up,” he stated.

“Politics is their game; they use it against humanity. All of them are a disgrace to humanity.   We really can’t just live with each other yet? Man what does that say about our advanced intelligence as compared to wild animals,” he said.

Added Ziggy:  “All world governments, religious, political organizations are an embarrassment to humanity. We can’t live in peace yet??  The world can’t be united for us all yet?? other countries still want to dominate other countries for who’s benefit? All leaders in all aspect right now is terrible.  Putin is on the big stage right now with his nuclear threats so is an example of this world and it’s confused sense if what makes a leader great”.
