Dancehall star Shenseea is on the mend after revealing last week that she had been hospitalized with an undisclosed illness.

In an Instagram Story post today, titled “An update for all my Babies,” the Be Good singer told her over 4.7 million followers that she was recuperating and “doing better”.

On November 10, Shenseea, 25, announced that “my health is truly at risk,” and informed fans that, “I’ll be out for a while,” alongside a photo of her wrist in a hospital band.

This morning the singer shared a screenshot of a conversation with one fan, who had reached out to her expressing concern about her recovery.  In the direct message, Instagram user, Austin wrote, “Hey Shen, good morning. As a concerned fan, I’m reaching out to you with hopes that you’re recuperating from whatever you are going through. Praying for you to be well and in good health again. Sending you lots of love and God’s richest blessings (prayer hands) Whole lotta love. P.S. – In my doubtful mind, I really hope you see this dm (laughing face) Big up.”

Shenseea responded in just over an hour and said, “Thank you, I am doing better as the days go by Don’t worry all I need is rest.”

It seems fans can expect to see their favorite artist back on social media soon.

Meanwhile, though she was forced to miss Diddy’s Revolt Summit in Atlanta, Georgia last week, the Blessed singer’s packed schedule has allowed her brand to keep up appearances.

She was featured in new visuals this week with LA-based teen singer/songwriter Lourdiz on their collaboration Get Along.

It was also reported earlier this week that Shenseea would be appearing alongside DJ Khaled in two of three, new Pandora campaign ad spots. These will premiere during the 2021 Soul Train Music Awards on BET on November 28.

And finally, while Shen was out of commission, she was also nominated for a MOBO Award in the Best Reggae Act category along with her industry mates, Spice, Sean Paul, Popcaan, Skillibeng, and Lila Iké. The winner will be announced during a live-streamed ceremony on YouTube on December 5.

Fans can also expect the release of Shenseea’s debut studio album in early 2022, under Rvssian’s Rich Immigrants label (a joint venture with Interscope Records).

Run Run, the first single from the project, currently has 6.6 million views on YouTube, while Be Good stands at 3.6 million.
