Watch Popcaan ‘Live Some Life’ In New Visuals With ‘Daily Paper’ Merch

Popcaan came through for Unruly fans over the weekend with an end-of-summer feel-good banger titled Live Some Life. The deejay has been flexing his status with his recent releases, from Relevant to Survival, and not one but two features with the legendary Beres Hammond.

His latest effort, the Daily Paper x Unruly capsule with Amsterdam-based fashion brand Daily Paper is also doing well, and what better way to “walk pon di haters dem like carpet” than to rock his own merch while stunting in the visuals for the brand new track.

Directed by film director Florian Joahn (British Vogue/ Skepta/ Rita Ora) the scenes were shot at various stops around the island, and shows the Unruly Boss living his best life. The vibe is all about enjoying the fruits of one’s labour and we see the 876 GUD living it up from “beachside” to “Portmore” and “Jacques Road”. The track is already climbing Jamaica’s Youtube trending (#25), as eager fans tune in for clips of the deejay enjoying all he’s earned.

“Karey stock the US in million cause house haffi pretty and broad/ Pon the title couple millions gone no me nuh see no land lord/ Chrome pretty gyal and some weh black me tell dem bring dem friend dem fi Skillibeng and crazy shot,” Popcaan spits on the track.

Popcaan’s Daily Paper x Unruly capsule collection is an impressive move for the St. Thomas native and the visuals are a celebration as well as a showcase for the new clothing line. The Clarks deejay is suited up in head-to-toe Unruly biker gear throughout the three-minute clip as he zips around with his crew and ever-present clouds of smoke.

He’s also seen brandishing the Unruly mask, which he told GRM daily was his favorite piece from the capsule overall. “I love bikes, I’ve got a lot of bikes at home so it’s like, when I look on that whole suit, it’s like I’m ready to touch the road and bike instant but I know I’m jumping in my truck in that suit as well because you can pull up anywhere in it,” he said.
