If you’ve ever been to one of Spice’s concerts then you would know exactly why her 2014 smash hit So Mi Like It had to be included on her debut studio album 10. The energetic Queen of Dancehall is known to execute almost impossible dance moves to the lyrics of the song during her performances on stage, which send the crowd wild.

Over the weekend, Spice shared clips on Instagram of her Birthday Bash and performance at ‘Atlanta Beach Wear’ edition. In one share, Spice was seen showing off her signature air-split to the hook of So Mi Like It and revealed in the caption that she simply had to include the crowd-pleaser on the new 15 track LP.

“Skin out mi P-m P-m‼️,” she wrote, quoting the classic catchphrase of the song.

She added, “Atlanta Beach wear edition was lit 🔥 🔥🔥…This song had to be on my first Album 10,” and from the reception of the audience, you could see why.

So Mi Like It, produced by NotNice, first appeared on Spice’s So Mi Like It EP in late 2014, with other tracks like Conjugal Visit featuring Vybz Kartel and Go Go. The song is the QOD’s best streaming song in her musical catalog with just under 100 million views on the official music video on YouTube.

Last Monday (August 9), Spice boasted that 10 had received over 55 million all-time streams since its release on August 6.  The celebratory post raised the discussion online about whether the millions of streams from the 7-year-old song would contribute to the first week of streaming numbers for the deejay’s album.

DancehallMag understands that MRC Data (formerly Nielsen Music Products), which provides music sales data for the Billboard music charts, will only count So Mi Like It‘s audio and video streams during the week of 10‘s release when the album’s first week sales are considered.

Upon its release, 10 scaled up the music charts, debuting at No. 1 on the Reggae Albums chart and iTunes Reggae chart. It was also the best-selling album on Amazon Movers and Shakers list within the first 24 hours.

Following Go Down Deh, another new single from the album received a video treatment.  Send It Up is currently trending No. 1 for music, according to Spice, with just over 370,000 views since its release yesterday.
