Dancehall celebrity Popcaan jetted off on a midnight flight to the United Kingdom on Friday and has since been in quarantine.

In a string of videos and photos shared on Instagram prior to his trip, the Risky deejay had all eyes directed his way.  He goofed around while eating pineapples and boasted about how the “Gal them say me sweet like pine🤩,” before fully vibing out to an unreleased track that touted his unrivaled level in the game.

“Don’t ever forget 🥶 head to sky Led to yiy👁,” he wrote on the share.

It wasn’t long after that the 876Gud was suited up in a ski mask, with his bling and passport to board a plane.

Upon landing, Poppy said that he was in “Nigeria” while sipping on a cold Heineken.

However, photos and videos of the celebrity showed up online, revealing that he was actually in the UK.

He also appeared to have briefly met up with British rapper Russ Millions, before heading to his hotel.

While Popcaan hasn’t given an update about his exact whereabouts or his purpose of travel, he has been very open about quarantine life.  According to the UK’s Department of Health and Social Care, visitors “must travel directly to the place you’re staying and not leave until 10 days have passed.”

Two days in, boredom seems to have already gotten the best of the Dancehall star.  He showed IG followers that he’s been catching up with a few films on his laptop; listening to even more unreleased music, but this time in the dark; and this morning declaring that he’s fine spending time with himself.

“Dah one a name quarantine …man haffi lock up in a bombocl—t house. Mi nuh business doah, just stay by himself and par likkle bit,” he comforted himself.

In fact, the Firm & Strong deejay was able to round up a few local ingredients—a can of corned beef, ripe plantains, yam, potatoes, and cabbage—to make himself breakfast.

It’s good to know those rumors some two years ago that his visa was revoked were far from true. In 2019, BBC1Xtra claimed that Popcaan was unable to perform at a Live event for what they said were travel issues.  This led to speculation that his visa had been taken away and a clearly agitated Popcaan, at the time, took to social media to clear up the matter.

“Unno nuh try twist up me name bout travel issues,” he said. “Me nuh have no travel issue me can go England any time me wah go England, yuh hear dat me just a make unu know. And big up mi fans dem mi love unuh same way. Mi soon pull up and bun up place yuh f–k.”
