Dancehall singer Jada Kingdom has revealed that her new song with TeeJay was released without her approval. The two collaborated on the new Slingerz Records and Top Braff Music produced single Love Experience that was released this last Friday (July 16), which appears to be the song in reference.

The current upload has received a positive reception from fans, now trending at No. 11 on YouTube JM, however, Jada says the original cut wasn’t up to par nor was it approved by her for an official release.

“I have something to say, I don’t want nobody feel seh mi a disrespect them or embarrass them, even though I’m heavily disrespected and embarrassed in the music industry every day. Apparently, people just nuh rate me,” she began to say on an Instagram Live recently.

The WiN singer proceeded to explain how she submitted her demo to Teejay’s team and they, in turn, tweaked her vocals. Jada told them she wasn’t comfortable with their revisions and they agreed to go ahead with her original cut, but then released the wrong version.

“So I did a song with Teejay, him link me fi do di song, you know mi nuh hitch cause you know a mi singer dat, you done know. I sent over the demo, like you know, pre-mix it likkle bit make it sound nice ray ray ray cause one ting bout my demo dem, when mi send my demo a basically exactly how the final suppose to sound right,” she explained.

“So dem send mi back a version weh mi never did comfortable with but dem fight me pon it, fight mi pon it and den me fight dem pon it and dem say you know alright mi a go listen to you. Dem never listen to me! Dem still end up upload fi dem version, the wrong version.”

It appears Jada got a lot of heat from fans asking why she didn’t promote the single or publicly support the artist prior to its release. “Shut the f—k up! If mi didn’t support the artiste, I wouldn’t do a song with dem! Wowww,” she said.

“People don’t understand, you in my DM dragging me saying I’m not supporting the artiste and I’m not promoting the music video and all this crap but the artiste naa support me?” she argued.

A disheartened Jada, whose real name is Jada Ashanti Murphy, argued about the unprofessionalism on their part and disclosed how surprised she was to wake up one morning to see herself in a music video online. “But why uno cant just mek mi know when uno want release the music video dem and di song dem? At least mi cant hear di song before it release so mi cant hear how mi voice sound, so mi pleased with me vocals, you know…”

“Mi wake up out a di blues, out a nowhere, Mi have music video out! Mi nuh even know when music video drop. Everybody a ask why, how mi nah promote the track.”

The Banana singer proceeded to explain that she has a very unique singing tone that only her team knows how to mix, which is why she was particularly upset about the matter.  “You see how mi f—king send it cross, a suh mi want it stay, unless mi sey tweak som’n, nudge som’n, boop boop boop som’n som’n som’n … I get no f—king respect!”

“I’m listening to this sh-t, I was like, ‘why it sound like that?’ And it isn’t terrible, the song isn’t terrible but that’s not how I sent it. Now you understand why I feel a type a way .. it sounded waaay better than that, just imagine,” she added.

Kingdom emphasized that she loves working with other artists but it’s only right that she’s given a chance to hear the final cut before it is officially released.

The Dancehall singer also shared a text message she received from Teejay’s team where they admitted that they uploaded the wrong version of the song and apologized to her for the inconvenience.

“Yeah so long story short, so now dem a go tear it down and we a go upload it back again,” Jada said. “When I’m happy everybody is happy, if mi nuh happy nobody cant bloodcl—t sleep in yah!” she joked.
