Popcaan celebrates his 33rd birthday, a key year in one’s lifetime, and makes his return to Instagram today (July 19) after exactly 3 months.

His April 19 Instagram post showed the Unruly Boss, born Andrae Hugh Sutherland in St. Thomas,  poolside in Balmain with the caption “Greater David greater son!!!!”  Today’s post showed him dripped out in ice with a simple “A who? 💙” all smiles, still poolside just ‘pon a new day.

The pool theme is definitely intentional with his new song Pool Party dropping on the Jamaican don’s special day.

He followed up with a video clip, captioned “Killy them outside🤘🏿”.

Poppy’s official return to IG, after being slapped with several traffic charges, actually took place in the wee hours of the night when he posted his iced-out Unruly chain in a boomerang, then continued posting throughout the day, including a shoutout to Jelly Bads and some Clarks to boot.

Popcaan also blessed his day ones with a third installment of Abundant Life: Words of Wisdom, which is noticeably the most upbeat of the three so far.

This edition finds him smiling more, riding his bike, spending time in the river, and still pulling up with various brethren from different walks of life, but this time intermingled with more footage of him with his family – including his grandmother, Miss Rhona, and sister Squid, to name a few. This time, he reads passages from Psalm 93, 94, and Psalm 105, curating key and timely messages from the Scriptures.

The three-peat return of social content, words of wisdom and new music are much welcomed by fans, family, and friends alike with the industry heralding his return in tributes from Jada Kingdom, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man and more.

To put it into perspective, the last time Popcaan took a hiatus from the ‘Gram, he returned with a new album (FIXTAPE), new hairstyle, and new fervor to match.

The official audio for Pool Party is tagged on YouTube with Unruly Entertainment and TJ Records (Mavado, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer). The track is smooth like a daiquiri with Popcaan surfing the riddim like a wave, making it the perfect pool party, beach or road anthem just in time for the peak of Summer.
