Dancehall artist Hazard Poshgad is pleased with the response to his latest single, Grateful, an ode to giving thanks for one’s position in life.

“Life ah the greatest, gratitude purifies us spiritually. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve health, and handle adversity,” the artist mused.

Dancehall music has always showcased multitude of tracks geared towards being thankful for our loved ones, an improved quality of life, making it through a tough trial or tribulation or simply being grateful for being alive. But Hazard Poshgad’s song stands out because it mirrors his glass-half-full viewpoint on life.

“As long as you’re above ground, you’re winning. You have to be grateful for the small mercies in life,” he said.

Released on the 24HR Bantex Records label, the single has been added to rotation on several local radio stations. The video premiered over a month ago showing off scenes of a scenic waterfront, gushing waterfalls, and luxuriant forests.

“The response has been really great, people are really enjoying the message of the video,” he said.

He recently recorded a single called Betrayal (Friend Killer) which will be released on the 24 HR Bantex Records label next month. The song is a collaboration with Chronic Law who recognized his talent and decided to team up with him for the song.

“I did the song one day while I was driving, it comes from a real life experience where I was betrayed by a friend who caused me to lose an important contract. I had to cut off that friend eventually cause that betrayal could have cost me my life, and my story is similar to that of several other young people. Lawboss later heard the song and gave me a big strength,” he said.

There are also plans to shoot visuals for the project.
