Dancehall artist Spice says her song Black Hypocrisy is her most underrated piece of work. The dancehall megastar shared her opinion when she made a special appearance on Jodi Jinx’s Twosday with Tricky YouTube show on Tuesday (July 6), where she talked candidly about her upcoming album Ten.  Fans also got a peek into the entertainer’s private life- namely what she does in her downtime.

In honor of Spice’s upcoming album, Jinx, who is wife to Dancehall star Sean Paul, shared with her viewers that she had put together ten questions for the Go Down Deh hit-maker.  Among the ten questions, Jodi had Spice racking her brain for a minute or two when she asked the dancehall diva about her most underrated song.

“Whoa, that’s a hard one. Ahmm underrated…nobody never ask me that yet Jodi, a weh you get dem questions yah?” said Spice.

“I could say maybe Black Hypocrisy could have done better on a global scale. I feel like even though I felt like the message was so globally received, the song itself could have been a bit bigger,” added Spice.

Black Hypocrisy, released in 2018 on Spice‘s Captured mixtape, has over 5 million views on YouTube.

Spice also fielded a question from Jodi’s sister, Traci, who quizzed the star about what she does in her downtime.

According to Spice, there is really no downtime for her as she rarely relaxes and is always finding things to occupy her time, primarily her many business ventures.

“You know, I started crying the other day, like real tears because of how tired I was. I don’t relax. I never…I don’t….I hardly relax,” Spice said. “So, you know, even when I don’t have something to do, I find something to do. So even if I am in the bed even for a minute, I’m working, I’m researching and I’m reading up on something. Like I’m always, you know, working. So I’m never that relaxed person. And I tell people all the time, my past has a lot to do with how I work.”

“I’m in a relationship right now. And sometimes like he would say ‘Lord Jesus, put down the phone’ But it is like me just so eager to keep rising and keep you know, going up. I just, I’m just addicted to working. I am addicted. So I don’t normally relax. I’m always on the go, always doing something, always thinking of something, always creating and idea,” Spice added.

Jodi, who was clad in a Graci Noir track suit for the show, also used the occasion to ask Spice about the meaning behind the name of her album.

According to Spice, she named the album based on the number of years she had been signed to VP Records without having the opportunity to drop an album.

“This is my first album. So within 10 years, I’ve signed to them this is the first album we’re putting out together. So, I just wanted to remember the mark of 10 years because I’ve done so much throughout the 10 years,” Spice said.

Jodi Jinx then asked Spice about what it was that put the “fire under the tail” of the record label which finally saw her dream of releasing an album come to fruition.

Spice responded that initially, she was just tired of people asking when she would be dropping an album and that’s why she broke her silence about the issues she had been having with the record company.

“I mean it did. And me fans put a fire under them tail too because when I posted what was happening to me to- because I’ve been silent about it for a number of years- but when I came out and I was like, ‘No me tired of fans a ask when di album, when di album’, I just openly put out what was happening and my fans also put fire under their tail, ” Spice explained.

“Thanks to Shaggy he was the one who kind of mended the relationship. And he’s also the executive producer for the album and that’s how the big song come together,” added Spice who broke out singing her latest hit Go Down Deh.
