Dancehall songbird Jada Kingdom has just snagged herself a huge music deal with the New York-based record label Republic Records. She also revealed that she has a new manager, Marc Jordan, and management team Wide Eye Entertainment.

Both Jada and her beau Verse Simmonds shared the exciting news, touted as being the “biggest deal for a female Caribbean artist ever” on Instagram today, with supporting photos to show them inking contracts and celebrating the momentous occasion.

In a part of his lengthy congratulatory note to Jada on her new accomplishment, Verse wrote, “Today I am happy to Announce And congratulate you on being the Newest Signee to Republic records in the biggest deal for a female Caribbean artist ever!!!!!!! I told u I got u 4L! And I meant it! This is just the beginning.”

Simmonds and Jada have been dating for under two years and have collaborated on the song Bedroom Bully.

Republic Records is a division of Universal Music Group, which is the home to an all-star roster of multi-platinum, award-winning legends and superstar artists such as, Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, Jonas Brothers, Post Malone, Kid Cudi, Taylor Swift, Zendaya, Lorde, Ariana Grande, Hailee Steinfeld, and many others.

This is a dream come true for the St. Thomas native, who was evidently over the moon when she posted the feat today. “WAAAW! this is what I prayed for… GOD I love you, I trust you, THANK YOU! 🙏🏽 #Godisneverlate,” Jada wrote.

She then tagged Verse to let him know that she officially lost their bet. Apparently, her music producer boyfriend envisioned this would be her reality in what he says has been a two-year stint now since they’ve been working towards this day.

“@versesimmonds it’s safe to say I lost our bet and you told me so! lol 🥲we work soo fukin hard! this is so personal for us, you made me believe in myself way more than i ever did and you’ve been fighting with me thru everything, i’m happy i didn’t give up…happy i trusted your word, i love you, i’m grateful for you! Jada also thanked her team, musician Worldwide Fresh and also who she revealed is now her ‘new manager’, Marc Jordan along with her management team, Ben and Bekka of Wide Eye Entertainment.

“Nuff thanks to my awesome new manager Marc Jordan alongside my management team @wideeyedent (Ben & Bekka). I’m happy, love you guys!”

The 22-year-old singer, whose real name is Jada Ashanti Murphy recently had a nasty split from her former management company, Pop Style Music Publishing. Earlier in April, Pop Style even sued Jada for libel and defamation in comments that she had made during an Instagram Live earlier that month.

At the start of this year, she told fans not to expect any new music from her in 2021 citing that she did not have a ‘team’ behind her.

At the time Jada also revealed that her boyfriend Verse Simmonds, who had been heavily involved in her music production and helping her network in the North American music market, was also actively trying to get a team together. “I’m trying to just figure out mi space inna di industry and I can’t do it alone. I’m tired… Me and Verse (Simmonds) right now trying to work on my team, management and all of that…” she said.

Now we see that some of what the two have been working so hard to achieve has finally paid off. Jada’s fans and industry colleagues couldn’t be happier.

The Queen of Dancehall was one of the first to congratulate her. “YESSSS Winnings 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” Spice wrote.

Also, Moyann, Tosh Alexander, Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor, Creep Chromatic, and Usain Bolt were among others that toasted the WiN singer on this monumental score.
