TeeJay Challenges I-Octane To A ‘Weight Loss War’ As Both Dancehall Artists Ready Their Albums

Dancehall stars I-Octane and TeeJay are challenging each other to a weight loss battle on social media and as expected their fans are fully entertained.  Both artists are expected to drop new albums this year, Moods and From Rags To Riches, respectively.

As the fitness culture continues to influence many, there is no mistaking that I-Octane, aka Hotras and very recently Slimras, and Teejay, the Up Top Boss lately dubbed the ‘Tall and Skinny Boss,’ are two of the most successful achievers in Dancehall to have seen significant weight loss over the last couple of months.

I-Octane has been celebrating his new fitness addiction and actually enjoying his workouts as seen with the chronicles of the journey on his Instagram page. He even tapped celeb fitness trainer, Patrice White for her no-nonsense gym training expertise. Since his evident launch into a healthier and fitter lifestyle from back in November last year, Octane has dropped more than 60lbs with apparent intentions of losing another 30lbs in a challenge with the Up Top Boss.

It seems Teejay had initially dared the Hotras to drop 20lbs in what he called a “weight loss war” on Instagram 3 days ago while sharing photos of himself looking pretty trim and destined to win.

“20 more pounds? @realioctane look like you want a weight loss war,” he wrote.

I-Octane shared a funny voice note of the two bantering about this supposed weight-loss beef, where the ‘Tall and Skinny Boss’ declared that he’d shatter the Slimras’ goals. But Octane said he doesn’t stand a chance, “Yo, (laughing) Yuh idiaat yute, right now yuh a run bout 4th in a dah race yah daddy… me, me, me then you,” while laughing him to scorn.

He captioned the battle “Weight War” in association with “Weight Loss Fest” with free admission for all the fans that want to tune in.

I-Octane followed up with another post a day later to show that he’s already gearing up for combat and forget Teejay’s 20lbs challenge, he’s going for 30!

He loaded a video of himself in the gym chest pumping 45 lbs dumbbells in each hand while his trainer, White coaches him via a video call. In the caption he wrote, “😂😂😂😂😂😂 IT’S ON 😂😂 @uptopboss_official 😂😂😂😂😂 30 MORE POUNDS MI SAY 😂😂😂 @patricejwhite.”

Teejay might have attributed his weight loss results to an unorthodox and clever diet of eating “crackers and water” which saw him 50lbs lighter after just 2 months and 3 weeks in October last year but we’ve not seen him hitting the gym or working out. The deejay, however, has maintained his slim form physique ever since so he clearly has more tricks up his sleeves to tackle this challenge.

So far Octane’s IG post of their voice exchange has attracted more than 60k views with everyone loving the vibe between the two deejays. “Mi ready fi dah sklash yah!!” said one eager fan. Another added, Yooooooo👏👏👏👏MI a PUT First 100$ Up…Challenge on Let’s Go!!!👏👏❤️❤️❤️.”

Others joined in, “Love how the manz dem a cum out strong fi dah year yah🔥🔥 summer body up… 👌” and “😂😂😂😂😂😂 what a gwan yah so dj chubble 😂😂😂🌍BOSS”

Teejay’s label mate Ding Dong is all for the show and holding the “faith” for his industry brother also releasing a thread of laughing face emojis in his comment.

Dancehall singer Dovey Magnum joined in to do the same but thought, “this NUH safe.”

Both I-Octane and TeeJay have upcoming studio albums this year, even with all the fun and games in their ‘weight loss war’, Octane has been heavily promoting his online.

“Moods Album And From Rags To Riches Album Loading 🙏🙏🙏 Support The New Music 🔥🙏🌍” he wrote on one of the posts. Many even assume the two deejays might just be teasing a collab with their latest gimmicks. ‘🔥🔥🔥too big artist on one chune fi mad da gyal dem” one follower said.
