Taje ‘Silent Ravers’ Pinnock is claiming that he has not been dismissed, nor has he even been contacted by Raver Clavers head, Ding Dong, about his appearance in a sexually explicit video.   Ding Dong had distanced himself from Flairy creator, telling Foota Hype that the dancer was no longer a part of his dance ensemble.

Over the past several weeks, the video has been making the rounds on the internet with silent showcasing his buttocks to a male cross-dresser and having explicit conversations, which was later shared by the individual.

Foota Hype, who has assumed the responsibility for what he says is standing up for “righteousness in Dancehall”,  took Ding Dong to task on Tuesday, asking him on his Live Instagram feed whether or not he had dismissed Silent.

Foota told Ding Dong that it was disconcerting that over the weeks since the video came to public attention, not only had the Ravers leader failed to issue even “one public disclaimer”, but Silent still had the name “Ravers” which is Ding Dong’s brand, affixed to his moniker on his social media pages.

“Mi still si him have Ravers Clavers pon him name.  That is your brand…  Ravers Clavers is your brand.  I want to know now, is this man still a part of di crew or not?” Foota had asked, to which Ding Dong initially responded: “Anytime yuh see him no weh yuh can ask him. An mi nuh haffi answer it publicly becaw people go see it.“

But Foota was relentless, and after a lengthy grilling, Ding Dong reluctantly said that Silent was no longer a part of the group.  He however seemed worried that Foota would continue talking about the issue, in which, according to him, he could not delve too deeply in his response, as it could affect his corporate endorsements.

“All right him nuh inna di group; you a guh stop talk bout it tomorrow?” Ding Dong asked Foota.

Upon hearing what he considered the joyous news of Silent’s dismissal, a smiling Foota had responded cheerfully:

“No.  Mi a guh talk bout Silent without Ravers.  This caan stop talk bout till life end.   It can’t guh vanish… mi like how yuh tell wi seh im unuh inna di group again…  Das all wi did want hear.   Ding, yuh nuh haffi seh nuttn more…All mi waan know seh yuh seh: ‘him nuh inna di crew no more’”

During the discussion, Ding Dong had said, among other things, that Foota could have spoken to him privately about the matter, as he did not want to be on social media.  He also said he had chosen to deal with the matter “professionally” as he has to have a “business mind”.

“Yuh si me Foota, mi try wid whole heap a yute.  An when mi try wid whole heap a yute dem haffi come roun me first and deh round me.  And dah yute deh neva gi mi no form a indication at all seh him stay no way at all.  And I don’t control weh a man do personally.  Zeen,” he said.

However, on Thursday, Silent stressed over and over on his Instagram Live that he had not been dismissed by Ding Dong, nor had anyone from Ravers contacted him about his antics in the explicit video.

“Me meck a f_kery mistake inna my life so mi haffi just live wid it.  But as mi a seh, nobaddy neva fire me from Ravers, yuh zi mi.  Ding neva call me or seh nuttn,” Silent told one of his followers.

“Everyting done happen already …Ding neva call me and seh me is not a part a Ravers…,” he added.

“Oonu si whatever pon Tropixs.. Ding neva call me and no part a Ravers neva call me and seh ‘yow, Silent yuh not a part a dis’,” he re-emphasized.

Silent also said many Jamaicans were hypocrites as they applaud when artists sing about the same thing that he was caught doing in the video.

“At di end a di day, if a woman did fi even dweet, some a dem man yah. Some a di woman dem tuh if dem did fi duh certain ting or for instance dem waan lick all ova  a part a dem man, nuff a dem a gwaan like seh when dem fi dweet di man haffi stan up straight,” he said.
