Diel Releases Visuals for Single ‘Pretty Melanin’

It’s an anthem of empowerment for every black woman on the face of the planet and young roots Reggae singer Diel is making sure that Pretty Melanin delivers the strong message that the black skin must be celebrated.

With his beautifully written lyrics that uplift and glorify the black woman, his smooth falsetto vocals bring to life the ‘joy’ of which he sings.

This follow up to Majesty, produced by Dwain ‘Wiya’ Campbell, is a tribute to authentic roots reggae, positivity, Afrocentrism, and love.

“Even though I am a new artiste, I am at a place mentally where I want to release music that will last past my lifetime. So in sitting down and writing this song, I looked carefully at all that is going on, and thought about what I would want to say to my daughter. Although she is not born yet, it is a love song to her… and really to every woman that can connect with and appreciate the message.”

Diel’s childhood friends turned partners of Ikon Media, produced stunning visuals showcasing the range and beauty of the ‘melanated’ woman by using a simple, but creatively profound concept.

The visuals make it easy to see what has so captivated the singer to bring this piece of art to life.

Since the song and video dropped, Diel told DancehallMag that the feedback has been overwhelming.

“Women and men across the world from as far as Senegal and Germany have been expressing appreciation for the message. People like the song, the melody and the roots reggae vibe but they especially like the message it is sending”

After almost losing his life in a major motor vehicle accident, the young Artiste says he has  taken a break from social media and is using his time to write more music, shoot more videos and position his work for the international market.
