Beenie Man has expressed his gratitude for the support he has been receiving as he continues to deal with the passing of his mother who died earlier this month.

The King of the Dancehall artiste recently took to Instagram to convey his feelings in a video that thanked a number of persons for their support.  His mother had died on September 11th after what many believe is the result of a series of strokes that she had endured. She was 63 at the time of her passing.

“I’m here to tell you that I appreciate all the condolences you have sent for me and family, I do I do I do love that and I know my family do appreciate it” the Grammy winner opened.

He continued to say “to all my fans and well-wishers thank you for sending out all the condolences and especially to my coworkers, all the entertainers, who pour out their heart, I really do appreci-love it and my family do appreci-love it” he remarked gratefully.

He added that the family was trying to be strong during this trying time. “We’re here trying to be strong, we got to hold on, we got to be strong, we got to be that person for all the family”.

He also noted that his mother is now in heaven besides Jesus Christ whom she fervently prayed to during her time on earth.

“Pray for we to be stronger so that we can move on with life… so thank you for loving my moms, thank you for the respect to my moms, and thank you for the well wishes” he noted in closing.

This is the first post that the Doctor had made to his Instagram account since his mother Miss Lilieth Sewell, also called ‘Mama Lilieth’, passed.

In July, the usually private entertainer had open up about his mother’s health issues by taking fans along during a hospital visit.

Persons have been commenting and expressing their support for Beenie as he continues to grapple with the loss. Fellow dancehall act Tifa sent a couple of emojis of a hug and praying. Producer Teflon commented with “Respect and love my G god bless”. Overall the messages have been that of support and Beenie Man and his family will certainly appreciate this.
