Spice Shells It Down On Labour Day Weekend In New Jersey
Dancehall queen Spice is back to what she enjoys doing best, performing. The Cool It hitmaker performed at an event in New Jersey over the weekend and had fans jumping from start to finish.
For those who couldn’t be there, Spice uploaded a few clips to her Instagram of her first major performance in 6 months it was obvious that the Jamaican dancehall diva shelled down the place.
Rocking her flowing orange ‘Inches‘, she got things started with Romantic Mood and further frenzied fans with seductive dance skills in her Fendi body suit. Fans further enjoyed hits such as the Dumplin remix and her latest effort Inches and based on feedback, Spice’s long-awaited return to the stage did not disappoint.

Her initial appearance to the stage saw her donning a face shield but when a fan joined her on stage for her performance of Sheet, there was the introduction of disposable quarantine outfits and she gave him a “6 feet a part wine”. “Covid could neva stop me” remarked while highlighting that his temperature was checked before entering the stage.
We all know Spice is about setting trends and it looks like she might have brought back the popular Dutty Wine dance back to the fore. During her performance for ‘Inches’, Spice had female patrons whipping their heads in a contest with #Shorty being deemed to have the strongest neck and most secure wig during her time on the stage.

This contest drew a comment from fellow dancehall diva Shenseea who quipped “any day mi try dis b——–t my hair take wings” she laughed.
However, while some fans were in total enjoyment of the event, some were critical of the fact that a number of persons on stage and in the audience were not wearing masks and practicing physical distancing. One comment was “no covid there then?”. However, fans were just excited to be able to enjoy the show.
Since the lockdown, Spice has also expanded her business side with the launch of her Inches wig line and other areas but obviously her performing is her true joy.
