Danny’ The Baker’ Vengeance has made more wild claims about Dancehall artiste Mavado after last week accusing the singer of stealing a song.

Danny was first dubbed “The Baker” that faithful November evening last year when he appeared on CBS News, detailing his act of self-defense in the midst of a sudden robbery. The assailant opened the door to his van, after which Donavan proceeded to pull his licensed Glock, emptying it in the robber who later died.

The news report went viral as the man’s chant of “Baking it” became the punchline of an inside joke for Jamaica and the diaspora. He quickly became a local star. A “win” that some were happy to celebrate, despite the real and true danger in such situations.

Though a man had died in the process, Baker was hailed as a hero for protecting his own life and possibly the lives of others, against this thief and potential murderer.

On December 6th, Danny made his first appearance as “The Baker” on the intro of Mavado’s late 2019 hit “Top Shotta Is Back”. Mavado tapped the newly famous Baker after witnessing his viral ascent into stardom. Their chemistry even made us hope for a Top Shottas esque music video that would star the Baker himself, alongside Mavado. Their union on the track symbolized the union of an older era of Jamaican culture with a younger one that birthed the likes of Vybz Kartel and Mavado.

Eight months later, as we know Baker and Mavado are at war, reportedly over a song that Baker claims the Gully Gad stole. Given the context of their friendship, this falling out is not just unfortunate but also has the potential to yield deep dark secrets. After all, who knows more about you than your friends? While he’s been sketchy with the details, Mr. Stewart believes Mavado has appropriated his track without giving him any credit.

Following an ongoing bout between the two, Baker took to IG live to accuse Mavado and even Alkaline of doing hard drugs like crack, cocaine, pills, and even lean.

Baker later goes on to say that Vado passed out in the club due to the excessive use of substance.  His story grows wilder and wilder as it goes on. But we’ve not been able to confirm the accuracy of this story, so we can safely say it’s important to take it with a grain of salt being that it comes from an aggravated party.
