A’mari Arrested In St James For Breaching Quarantine Orders

The former girlfriend of dancehall artiste Gully Bop was arrested and charged for flouting COVID-19 regulations.

A’mari “DJ Mona Lisa” who rose to fame after dating the then semi-toothless Gully Bop has been charged with breaches of the Disaster Risk Management Act and for using Indecent Language following an incident in St. James.

Reports are the popular social media influencer and deejay was found in breach of a self-quarantine order when she was seen at several places following her arrival in the island.

She was also charged for using indecent language after she used expletives while speaking to the police during an interview.

Recently the entertainer has been encouraging Jamaicans to utilize social media platforms as a means of earning income, particularly as COVID-19 realities have diminished traditional revenue streams.

‘A’mari’ or ‘DJ Mona Lisa whose real name is Veneice Fung-Chung is scheduled to appear before the St. James Parish Court on Wednesday, August 12.
