Jamaican songbird Sevana finally debuted her long-awaited EP, Be Somebody today. The collection features six tracks, including her previously released single, If You Only Knew.

She also dropped some pretty striking visuals for her single Mango that’s also featured in the new collection.

Her label, Digg.Nation and its chief executive, Protoje, is especially excited about both undertakings. Today he went on Twitter to express just how happy he was with Sevana’s new EP and music video. He tweeted a clip of the visuals for Mango and tagged her saying, “extremely proud of this project. Stream it all day.”

Sevana’s single Mango is the quintessence of a Jamaican love song. When a Jamaican say they love you like mango, you know that’s a sweet love. While entitled Mango, the single is rather a figure of speech as the very catchy hook suggests, “Mi love yuh like mango.”

Sevana has certainly undone herself with this one, with the rhythmic beat and her hypnotizing vocals; Mango resonates immediately, so much so that you’ll be singing along halfway through the track on the first play.

In the music video, which was directed by herself along with Yoram Savion, Sevana exudes sexy on so many levels. Between the costume changes, her beaming white smile, spicy dance moves, and a nude scene, she puts on quite a mesmerizing display.

The theme stays relevant to the message of the song as Sevana surrounds herself with all things ‘mango’, even looking like the inside of the fruit wearing a multi-layered, overly fluffed yellow dress in one scene. (See more below)
