Teejay-Sumfest
TeeJay

The collection of new releases this week takes us on a journey in the woodlands with Charly Black, also to watch surfing and bike riding in Bull Bay with Romain Virgo and through the gully with Savage.

Teejay has no time for haters and their hate but if you’re talking about a paycheck then by all means give him a call. I Waata seem to have stepped in some hot water, while Rebel Sixx says no matter how he tries the ‘badness cya done’ in his new single. Let’s get into our reviews for this week’s newest dancehall tracks.

Romain Virgo – Best Of Me

Shot in the unspoiled and reserved rural area of Bull Bay in St. Andrew, Reggae singer Romain Virgo’s new music video for his previously released single Best Of Me debuted on July 7th via YouTube and is already performing well in streams, piling in more than 180k views and counting.

Two stories unfold displaying resilience through dicey underground passions, BMX stunt biking and surfing. An older athlete not quite the star he intended to be is still balancing his wheels on the pavement practicing his craft. Also a skilful surfing mom imparts her talents to her little girl. Directed by Kurt Wright and produced by Zojak Worldwide, check out the full video here –

Savage – Intence Killing

Savage continues to unleash his venom on dancehall deejay Intence as he drops a new music video to bring life into one of his few diss tracks towards the deejay. The single Intence Killing follows in line with Hallow Point, the first Intence diss track and pivots his latest entitled, Through Hell’s Gate, which are all aimed at demolishing the Yeng Badness artiste.

Savage’s new video released on July 8th and is a show to his nemesis that his backing is rock-solid and ruthless as he ‘chop it’ through several rough neighbourhoods with his screw-faced entourage while boasting his piece on his hip. Directed by Amal and produced by Dr Records, watch the full video here –

TeeJay – Stacks & Bands

TeeJay flaunts some unsullied tones on his new single Stack & Bands. The easy delivery on the smooth riddim sounds like the ultimate love song, but in an interesting twist, The Up Top Boss sings, “If a nu money please don’t call my phone.”

The deejay is steadfast in realising his dreams and settling down, though he has identified the green-eyed individuals around him, he says they are still welcome to ring up his phone, but it better be about making that moola.

Produced by Papi Don Muziq and distributed by Zojak Worldwide the single, which was released yesterday July 10th, is streaming well, already racking up 58k views and counting. Listen here –

I Waata portrays himself as the ultimate stud muffin in this latest release entitled Unknown, which debuted on July 8 via YouTube. He choruses his little scheme, “Memba say yuh nuh know mi, me nuh know yuh, yuh nuh know mi,” so if anyone asks about the threesome with his lady friends, it didn’t happen.

The all agree, but a boyfriend of one of his ladies decides to take matters into his own hands.
