I Waata

Hoping for non-stop play with his latest single, I Waata, born Jason Bailey, joins the list of international artistes who have put their artistry to promote the major sporting brand, Reebok.

Other artistes to have promoted Reebok lyrically include Rick Ross, Zoku Runner, Devin Lauder, and Stinga J.

The 4th Genna deejay, originally from Kintyre, St Andrew, must be playing for a corporate contract as this release follows hot on the heels of his previous track titled Digi-Loan. His pursuit may not be wide of the mark, as in recent weeks, veteran dancehall singjay I-Octane highlighted the importance of being a corporate ambassador in the life of an artiste.

I Waata has also seen his peers sign major endorsement deals in the past years, with Masicka and Dragon being the latest such partnership.

The “Crazy Play” deejay reaches out to both demographics of the dancehall fraternity as this track produced by CPM and Boysie Records, promises to get heavy rotation in the streets. He maintains that there’s no one cleaner when he steps out in his Reebok Classic. Girls watching like VEVO, the deejay puts visuals of his favourite clothes storefront and centre, along with his aptly Reebok clad male entourage.

Reebok is definitely one for the summer, with catchy lyrics and party vibe beat.  I Waata may have found the hit that moves him closer to the upper echelons on the Dancehall fraternity.
