Sean Paul And Wife Jodi Henriques Celebrate 8th Wedding Anniversary With Funny Photo
Dancehall icon Sean Paul and his wife Jodi “Jinx” Stewart Henriques are celebrating eight years since they tied the knot!
News of their anniversary came yesterday through an Instagram post by Jinx, where she shared a funny photo of herself and the Like Glue singer at their wedding ceremony eight years ago. Suited in a black tuxedo and donning his signature Mohawk of the time, Sean is seen stiffly smirking at his wife as she strikes a theatric pose while donning some eccentric-looking eyewear in her beautiful wedding dress.
Clearly, a favorite among the hoard of wedding photos they must have, Jodi, posted just the one pic evidently embarrassing her husband. The 36-year-old captioned it: “It was at this very moment that he realized he should have run!!! Thanks for sticking it out with me @duttypaul. I promise to always keep things exciting!!! Happy Anniversary Married 8 years, Engaged 1 1/2 years, Dating 8 years.”
By that count, the couple has been together for almost 18 years.
The post is genuinely a perfect display of her exciting and charismatic persona, which the former TV show host was known for. There is absolutely nothing boring about her, which makes Jodi the perfect fit for the laid back suave soul that is her hubby, Dutty Paul.
The two tied the knot today eight years ago on May 26, 2012, at Boon Hall Oasis in Stony Hill – Kingston, Jamaica, in a low-key secret ceremony. According to several sources, staff, including the wedding decorators, chefs, and servers, along with the guests involved in the planning, had to sign a written contract to remain silent of the affair. The invited guests were not made privy of the location and venue until a few hours before the wedding either.
They started dating in 2002 when Jodi was just a teen, but their chemistry was undeniable. Sean popped the big question at a New Years’ eve party in 2011 when Jinx was 24. They got hitched, two kids later, and the rest is history.
Nowadays, you can find Jodi in her closet, hosting her fashion vlogs and in her kitchen sharing recipes and whatever concoction her crazy mind tells her to on her YouTube channel and IG page. Like an all-natural mosquito repellant, she and son Levi mixed up.
Sean Paul, 47, on the other hand, is keeping current and busy with his music, since the start of the year he has dropped six new songs, Love Mi Ladies with Oryane, Calling On Me with Tove Lo, Big Tings, Born Gyallis, Bend You Back and Back It Up Deh along with some other collaborations.
His plate is full, juggling interviews and appearances, including his BBC Radio Xtra Freestyle segment aired last weekend with Chi Ching Ching, Kemar Highcon, Fambo, Ras Ajai, Sukuward and Farenizzi at the Dutty Rock Studio’s parking lot.
