Dancehall veteran Bounty Killer is keeping quite busy it seems during these dreary quarantine times. We witnessed the incarnation of the true ‘Warlord’ over the weekend during his Verzuz battle with former long-time rival Beenie Man. It was then, after the show that he discussed his upcoming musical projects with the folks from ELive on CVM TV.

One of which was his newly released collaboration with dancehall superstar Konshens. The single Gal Weather, which debuted on both their YouTube pages on Saturday, May 23, is a summer song to surge the girls’ waistlines in all kinds of elliptical styles.

The production credit is a teaming of music houses, Jonny Blaze, Adigun production, Frano from Ignite Records, and mixed mastered by Stadic music.

Gal Weather happens to be the remake of Bounty’s 1995 hit single More Gal, while you can hear inflections from the older version; the new acoustics are significantly altered. Konshens infuses some light buoyant versus while Bounty drops his classic rowdy tones on a calypso inspired riddim.

When @grunggaadzilla go inna dem vibes yah a CLASSIC!! beach party as Road open we a roll out,” Konshens said in an Instagram post announcing the release, hopefully, just in time for the season of bikinis, sun, and rum.

He says the girls can never be too many, “gal from country, gal from town, gal from ghetto, gal from uptown,” he likes to see them break it down. Then remixes the original copy of the song’s chorus, “an mi say more gal fi dis yah amount a nature, more gal fi dilute mi tempa, more gal a woman we a feature, gal, gal cya too much.”

Bounty then joins in on the chorus and takes things up a notch, after all, only his vocals can breathe life into those lyrics. He roars his new rendition, “long time mi tell dem, more gal uno done know the order, more gal sexy gal wi nu short ah, more gal, dis a di gallis fada.”

The 47-year-old dancehall legend paints visuals of being at a party and keeps sending the bottle girls to the bar so that he can see them walking around in their tight-fitting sexy ensembles … and with the chimes of his dynamic vocal sound effects, you can’t help but catch a vibe. Also, look out for more music from the Warlord; the deejay says he has an upcoming collaboration with Gyptian. He also just wrapped up a music video with upcoming artiste Maestro Don on another single entitled Pioneer.
