In an Onstage interview a month ago Popcaan said it and the time is here, dancehall artistes and Unruly teammates, Quada and Dane Ray have dropped their new collab titled See Me Clean on their VEVO pages. This all took place yesterday March 17th under the production labels Dane Raychord and Unruly Entertainment with distribution recognition to Hapilos.

In the music video, the two demonstrate what is means to be clean and it has absolutely nothing to do with disinfectants, soaps or water. In fact the use of the term clean in the title of the song, See Me Clean stems from the term fresh. Where fresh is used to describe new, well new and expensive brand names: cars, clothes and shoes, you name it!

As they indulge in some late night private shopping, Dane Ray gets right into his ritzy lyrics, singing, “Best Louis V and tall Clarkes, best Gucci and mi dark glass…dawg yuh haffi see me clean, pull up pon the block in a new machine. One press pon the gas, look weh me do the scheme and me make the money rain, look weh me do di green …”

Quada sings a similar tune in his verses of the song as well. In a nutshell his preferred brands are Versace, Armani and Givenchy, he loves the ladies and they love him too as they call him to caress their bodies (and more) all the time. He has a preference in girls as well, pretty Barbie doll types and Filipinos. His machine is a Mercedes Benz and of course he had to make mention of his drips (jewels).

There isn’t much originality in the message of the track but they voice it well, the acoustics sound pretty ‘clean’. The music video has been getting a good amount of views, totaling over 40k in fewer than 24 hours. The fan feedback has been great as well, one person commented, “some man try buss dem artiste and dem nuh big like quada and now the new unruly producer/artiste Dane ray bigger than dem with one song like if u feel the same” and another said, “Not just the lyrics clean but video clean.. good song”.
