Masters of the trade and dancehall MVP’s, Mavado, Alkaline and Jahmiel have dropped some new music, all of which aired yesterday March 6th on the Soul Survivor Riddim. The tempo is mellow sounding and as such showcases their unique vocals on each of the tracks.

Mavado’s single is called Life and the official audio is featured on his YouTube page. The same goes for Alkaline; the official audio for his track Ocean Wave premiered on his VEVO and YT pages as well. Jahmiel debuted a music video with his single Shepherd, assigning production credits to Tru Ambassador Entertainment and Zojak World Wide Distribution.

The verses in Mavado’s track Life gives us a sneak peak into one of his present day dilemmas. It is a lengthy account of several endings to his experience with enemies. He says, “Mi full a enemy, every weh mi go, mi haffi walk with the suh’m. Na mek dem stop mi when mi reach suh far, lef Mama down a yaad, mi a do it fi har. From mi born, man a rise man a reach the starHey, if mi cant trust a n-gga, mi nu need fi par”. He goes on further in the song to talk about fake people around him and uses his lyrical rhymes to demonstrate how he rids them from his life.

The Vendetta boss Alkaline is creating big waves like the ocean as the lyrics say in his track Ocean Wave. The song celebrates his success as an artiste, but prior to that he gives listeners snippets of the road travelled to get there. The lyrics sound off about how he was forced to become a man early when his dad lost his job. Growing up he thought his life was so rough but he realised at some point that the skinny little boy who he was, actually had talent but not much luck. He was raised to not rely on people, so he did for himself and through that approach he started making waves. Looking back, the deejay sings that he would never change a thing and in life you have to lose a couple times before you win.

Moving on to the Patriotz trailblazer Jahmiel– his musical composition of Shepherd tales a journey from the struggles to success and despite the doubt he faced from others he still strived for his goals. He calls himself a shepherd singing the lyrics, “Now all of a sudden weh we sow dem want fi reap, but man a shepherd so we know wool from the sheep”. Since in his present standing, as a ‘shepherd’ he is able to decipher who the real people are around him compared to the ones who are just there to benefit from his gains.

All tracks are performing well since their releases, as fans are relishing in the MVP magic. The viewership on each track is mounting and fans aren’t holding back on the love in the comment sections of their YouTube pages. Check out the tracks below –
