Incarcerated dancehall icon Vybz Kartel shared a clip of a concert at the St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) where a teen is seen impersonating him by donning an orange prison jumpsuit and lip syncing a few of his hit songs.  Watch it below.

In an Instagram post two days ago, he wrote “Inna Senty, #Gaza Plenty. When I was out these kids were in grades 1 2 & 3 …. time is a m🤬f🤬😅”.  A clear indication that the Worl’ Boss is feeling quite honored and doesn’t think the replication of his image is by any means a negative influence on our children.

It was only a little over a week ago that the Worl’ Boss, Vybz Kartel was rebutting claims that he was one of the main culprits responsible for the elevated violence among youths in Jamaica.

This all started during a presentation made by Children’s Advocate Diahann Gordon Harrison at a breakfast meeting themed “Save our Boys, Save Our Nation” that was held at the Knutsford Court hotel in Kingston on January 26th.

Gordon referenced a study conducted by the Office of the Children’s Advocate, which identified Kartel as a top pick and favorite artiste among children who were charged or accused of committing criminal offenses. She centered her entire argument on the notion that the deejay was a direct influence and cause for bad behavior among these kids.

It didn’t take the Teacha long to catch word of this name slaying nor did it slow his confutation. A short time after the dancehall legend posted an old interview clip on Instagram discussing the cause of violence among teens.

He said ““Wha we as artistes can do to reduce crime in Jamaica? We cah do nuttin more than just deejay yuh know. You see because crime nuh really stem from artiste, crime stem from the social and economical living condition of the people them. Crime stem from the political culture of Jamaica.”

His lengthy caption also explained that “Mr. Babylon and unnu Gyal Fren” need to keep his name out of talks labeling him as the main protagonist of crime and violence, especially that the crime rate has been the worse ever since his incarceration.

Kartel’s fans were quick to agree, leaving comments on the concert video like:
