Vanessa Bling Opens Up On A Past Relationship In New Song ‘Diss Me’

If you’re unfamiliar with Vanessa Bling, you may remember the moment Cardi B announced her engagement with Offset via Instagram. The Bodak Yellow artist used Vanessa’s 2011 track, Everything Fi Hold Him in the background as her huge ring glittered on her finger. If you’re already familiar with Vanessa, then you’re bound to remember her foray into the dancehall scene. However, after making music on and off since 2011, she has a brand new look.

Vanessa Bling’s new era in music began over the last year-and her new single, ‘Diss Me’ released two days ago is an emotional glimpse at her head space.

In her latest ballad, Vanessa opens up that emotional abuse and multiple cases of infidelity are the main reasons why she broke up with her past lover. She lets her Ex know that she is done with the relationship and she will find her comfort from another man.

Being her first track this year, the song garnered a plethora of positive comments from fans who appreciated how she had pulled up her bad girl persona.

It is no surprise fans had the reaction they did. The release comes on the heels of Vanessa’s hints about the song which had fans anxiously awaiting the tune. On Jan. 10, Bling teased her followers by sharing a video of her in the studio where she sang the chorus with a caption “Drop some if yuh want me to drop this tomorrow.”

Based on fans’ reactions in the comment section, It seems that the majority of listeners are females and some can actually relate to the message. With recent multiple cases of domestic violence towards women and death by the hands of their lovers, the time to release this track is perfectly right.

It seems that this banger will ‘be climbing the chart in a fine style. We will definitely be keeping our eyes on this one and let you know when what the video looks like.

Bling, was born as Vanessa Saddler and previously went by the name Gaza Slim.  She had success in the early 2010s, including collaborations with Gaza boss Vybz Kartel but was arrested alongside Kartel for murder in 2011.  The promising singer served some time for her involvement in that crime.
