Lori Harvey Shows She’s A Fan Of The ‘Dumpling Remix’

American social media darling, Lori Harvey – the daughter of media personality and talk show host, Steve Harvey, is the latest international celeb to show love to the island of Jamaica and its music.

Harvey recently celebrated her 23rd birthday, choosing Jamaica as the location to unwind and have a great time with her friends and loved ones, which includes American rapper, Future, with whom she is in a relationship, former member of the disbanded girl group Fifth Harmony, Normani, and model, Winnie Harlow.

During her stay, Lori enjoyed her time at what appeared to be a private guesthouse, where a birthday party was held for her. She then shared the teaser to a birthday video that was created, documenting her time spent on the island. Throughout the trailer, which she posted on her Instagram page, the Dumpling Remix by Stylo G, Spice and Sean Paul can be heard playing.

Honored by the selection, the Queen of Dancehall, Spice, reposted the trailer on her Instagram page with the caption, “Right song choice goodie it’s a #Dumpling world”

Jamaican music has been receiving massive recognition on the international scene, with celebrities like billionaire social media star, Kylie Jenner and Bajan music and fashion icon, Rihanna, sharing videos of themselves vibing to dancehall and reggae songs such as Toast by Koffee and Blessed by Shenseea featuring Tyga.

Reggae sensation, Koffee, is also being listed on the lineup for some of the top shows across the globe, including one of the biggest music festivals in the United States, Coachella. She was recently added to the star-studded lineup for the Viewtopia music fest which also features Jamaican entertainers, Shenseea and Squash.

The movie industry has been showing love to Jamaican music as well with Veteran dancehall artiste, Buju Banton, being featured on the soundtrack for the film, Bad Boys for Life, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Buju’s song on the soundtrack, Murda She Wrote was released today, Friday, January 17.
