Young dancehall artiste Intence has started the new year off with some new ink! The Jettlife artiste took to Instagram to show off his new face tattoos yesterday to his 135,000 followers.

The Critics singer is all about that “#2020vision” and opted to get what appears to be a third eye with a pyramid (possibly the eye of horus).  The tattoo which appears in the center of his forehead is certainly different as he says in the Instagram caption in one post.  Some would definitely call it a statement piece!

Another tattoo is also revealed on his left cheek.  More ink will likely follow.

Intence’s new tattoos also appear in a video, posted yesterday, that features his boo and Spice dancer ‘Dancing Rebel’ as the cute couple gets cozy to the artiste’s banging love song Nah Let Go released last year.

Reactions from dancehall fans were, however, mixed.

Many were supportive of the new look which seemingly matches the bad boy persona and hardcore sound of Intence. While others believe he has “spoiled” his good looks, especially for the ladies who have been loving the artiste’s energy.

“Why you spoil up your face for?” asked one critic. To which another fan responded “his face not yours.” Another fan added: “I love your music but I don’t think you should have put on tattoo on your face but so what it’s your life do what you want yenng.”

A few other fans were clinging to hope that the new tat is not permanent. “Oh boi. Hope it’s a bubble gum sticker. I pray da Gaaaad it is”, said one user.

Since signing to Boyzie Records, Intence has had a year of unrestrained lyrical unbridling. The artiste, whose real name is Tashawn Gabbidon, has released songs such as Jett Life, Bad Gal, Say Dem Real and Dolla Bill.

He inherited his love for music from his father who was a dancehall deejay. “My family ah motivate me 100 per cent, mi father love wah a gwaan,” he said to LoopJamaica.
