A very emotional display from 12 year Adi’Anna Ashanti Palmer (@adi_girlboss) daughter of the incarcerated dancehall singer, Adidja Palmer, pulled on the heart strings of many yesterday. Every little girl needs a father, she said, along with a broken heart emoji and hashtags: #FreeMyFather and #FreeWorldBoss on an Instagram post.  The young girl was not among recent Christmas visitors to the St Catherine Adult Correctional Center in Jamaica, where her father is currently locked up.

While he may be confined a long way from his loved ones, social media has made it possible for a father to give his child some words of reassurance in her time of need.  In true Vybz Kartel candor, the King of the Dancehall screenshot and shared his offspring’s post and voiced his aversion about the consequences of his sentencing and the circumstances surrounding his incarceration.  He did not hesitate to express these harsh thoughts to his child and it was brutally honest to say the least but oddly comforting.

This was the first time Vybz Kartel mentioned Clive “Lizard” Williams’ name publicly.  He blasted “boasty slaves” who he says only pretend to care about “Lizard” whose body has not been found after the the entertainer along with three others were convicted of his murder in 2011.

The Worl’ Boss feels he was targeted by the system while many of the over 1,300 murders this year in Jamaica go unsolved.  “Boasty Slaves”, it is thought are those who are slaves or lapdogs to that system; those who championed his ‘wrongful’ conviction in what was Jamaica’s longest ever murder trial.  History will not remember these people kindly, he said as he tells his daughter not to worry.

“Just keep holding it my Princess. Your father doesn’t bow to nuh bwoy nor gyal so everybody a try prove. Acting like they care about “lizard” when 1,000 plus Jamaicans are killed every year and somehow they can’t seem to solve those cases. So nuh watch ntn Prinny, di whole world see seh dem a clown and history will shit on their memory. FUCK BOASTY SLAVE!!!”

In a comment to his daughter’s plea, Kartel also said “Anytime now baby”.  But it is just hours before Christmas and the Gaza Emperor has not been released from jail as he had hoped. Just a few weeks ago, Kartel’s sources revealed his wishes for an early discharge in efforts of spending Christmas with his family.

In late November, a lawyer for Kartel Mr. Tavares Finson had wrote to the Court of Appeal President and inquired about the 18-month delay in the ruling. The registrar of the Court replied in early December and informed the lawyers representing Vybz Kartel and his co-appellants Kahira Jones, Shawn Storm and Andre St. John that the ruling from the three-member panel of Appeal’s Court judges is at an advanced stage.

Vybz-Kartel-and-his-DaughterIts evident that his daughter is disappointed beyond control as she openly pleas for her father’s release on social media. An emotional and upset Kartel seems to feel the same way. Fans provided encouragement for the Worl’ Boss, one in particular wrote, “Jah Kno me Kno yo in yo feelings enuh but no mek it draw you out me don.. delete this cah the pagon dem ago try use it against yo”.
