Patra is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall singer who rose to international fame in the early 1990s with her bold style, strong vocals, and crossover appeal. Emerging first as “Lady Patra,” she gained global attention through collaborations with Shabba Ranks and her debut album Queen of the Pack, which produced several US charting hits including “Worker Man” and “Romantic Call.” Known for blending dancehall, reggae fusion, and hip-hop influences, Patra became one of the first female dancehall artists to achieve mainstream success in the United States.
