Eminem’s security team didn’t wait around when an uninvited visitor turned up at his Michigan home. They called police, and the woman at the door is now facing an aggravated stalking charge and a $250,000 bond.

Nicole Gwen Savage, 46, of Trenton, Michigan, allegedly went to the rapper’s residence on Tuesday, October 27.

According to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office, she was already under an active injunctive order barring her from contacting Eminem, whose legal name is Marshall Mathers.

Authorities “took Savage into custody without incident,” the prosecutor’s office said in a news release. She was arraigned the next day at the 41B District Court in Clinton Township.

The judge didn’t go easy on bond terms. Savage’s bail was set at “$250,000 cash or surety only, no 10 percent option,” meaning she can’t walk out by putting down a fraction of the total.

If she does post bail, she’ll have to wear a GPS ankle monitor. She’s also been ordered to stay in Michigan, keep away from weapons and have no contact with Eminem.

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido framed the case as a basic matter of safety. “Everyone deserves to feel safe in their own home and go about their daily lives without fear of being harassed or stalked,” he said. “No one is exempt from these protections, regardless of their public profile or celebrity status.”

This doesn’t appear to be her first run-in with the courts. Records viewed by The Detroit News show Savage was previously charged with stalking over a Clinton Township incident in August, and she reportedly faces a trespassing charge filed in September.

Her defense attorney, Thomas Quartz, is asking people to hold off on judgment. “Everyone in Detroit is a fan of Eminem, myself included,” he told The Detroit News.

“However, there is always two sides to every story, and my client’s voice has yet to be heard,” Quartz added. “When it is, I truly believe the public will become a fan of hers or at the very least sympathize with her.”

That’s a bold prediction given the charges stacking up, and Quartz hasn’t yet laid out what that other side looks like. An aggravated stalking conviction in Michigan carries up to five years in prison.

Eminem’s camp has stayed quiet so far. His spokesman Dennis Dennehy didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment from Us Weekly on Friday, October 30.

The rapper has dealt with unwanted visitors at home before. In 2019, a man broke into his house in Macomb County while Eminem was inside, and the intruder was charged.

Savage is due back in court on November 9 for the next step in the aggravated stalking case. Until then, what her side of the story actually is remains wide open.
