Offset is in a Florida hospital after being shot Monday evening outside one of the busiest casino resorts in the state.
His spokesperson says the Migos rapper is stable, though the details of what happened in that valet area are still coming together.
“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored,” the spokesperson told ABC News. Police also confirmed the shooting to the outlet.
According to the Seminole Police Department, the gunfire broke out sometime after 7 p.m. in the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Two people have been detained, and police say the investigation is ongoing.
The property, known for its massive guitar-shaped hotel tower, sits on land belonging to the Seminole Tribe of Florida. That’s why the tribe’s own police force, rather than local city officers, is handling the case.

Police moved quickly to calm nerves around the resort. “The site is secure and there is no threat to the public,” the department said in its statement.
What hasn’t been shared yet is just as telling. Authorities have not said who the two detained individuals are, what led up to the shooting, or where Offset was hit. His team has kept its update short.
For fans, the news reopens an old wound. Offset’s fellow Migos member and relative Takeoff was shot and killed in Houston in November 2022, a loss that shook hip hop and effectively ended the trio as people knew it.
Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, rose to fame alongside Quavo and Takeoff as Migos came up out of Gwinnett County, Georgia. Tracks like “Versace” and the chart-topping “Bad and Boujee” turned the group into one of the defining acts of Atlanta rap in the 2010s.

Since Takeoff’s death, Offset has leaned harder into his solo career. He released Set It Off in 2023, following his 2019 debut solo album Father of 4.
His personal life has rarely been out of the spotlight either. He was previously married to Cardi B, and the two share children, so word of the shooting spread well beyond rap circles within hours.
The Seminole Police Department has not said when it expects to release more information about the suspects or a possible motive.
For now, the only official word on Offset’s condition is the one from his camp: he’s stable, and doctors are watching him closely.
