Three voices, one thumping riddim—and absolutely no room to stand still.
Dancehall veterans Mr Easy and Future Fambo have teamed up with Deejay Yellow for Cyaan Go Round Yuh, a playful, high-energy collaboration built for parties, selectors and packed dance floors.
Produced by Yellow House Promotions, the track is the first single from Yellow House Records’ inaugural dancehall project, the Aktive riddim.
Written by Mr Easy and Troy Auxilly Wilson, Cyaan Go Round Yuh draws on the freewheeling collaborative spirit of 1990s dancehall while giving it a crisp, modern kick. The three artistes swap lines and personalities over the pulsating rhythm, creating a lively female-focused anthem.
For Mr Easy, the song arrived almost instantly.
The veteran artiste was driving through New York when he finally listened to the riddim. Having received a flood of tracks from producers, he had initially been reluctant to play another one—but Aktive quickly jolted him to attention.
“The minute I put the riddim on in the car, the whole vibe just hit me,” Mr Easy said. “I started vibing, and the song just came.”
The moment also reinforced a lesson learnt over decades in the business.
“You can’t underrate or underestimate any producer,” he said.
Mr Easy immediately contacted musician and longtime collaborator Clarity, also known as Drumrat. Within roughly an hour, the foundation of Cyaan Go Round Yuh had been laid.
With Fambo’s unmistakable flair, Mr Easy’s seasoned delivery and Deejay Yellow adding further spark, the record is a three-way dancehall charge.
The riddim is called Aktive—and this opening salvo certainly lives up to the name.
