Veteran Producer-Publicist Ralston Barrett To Release New Compilation Album

Veteran music publicist and producer Ralston Barrett is set to release a brand‑new reggae one‑drop rhythm project titled Jailhouse Set Me Free Rhythm Vol. 1, a compilation bringing together a powerful lineup of reggae artistes delivering conscious, uplifting music.

Produced by Barrett, the project features contributions from Turbulence, Ginjah, DYCR, Kuanna, Ras Fraser Jr., SPayde 876, Wise Wurdz, Johnson Code, Jah Single, Septimus and Ajaisaint Jude. The album is scheduled for release on March 27 and will be distributed worldwide via ONErpm.

Jailhouse Set Me Free Rhythm Vol. 1 will be released on Symphony B Records, a label founded by Barrett as part of a long‑term vision to build a lasting musical legacy for his daughter, Symphony Barrett.

According to Barrett, the project represents both his deep passion for music production and his commitment to delivering authentic, meaningful reggae music to audiences worldwide.

“Producing this rhythm was truly a labour of love for me. I have always had a deep passion for music production and creating songs that people can feel and connect with,” Barrett said. “This project is also very special because it forms part of the legacy I’m building for my daughter through Symphony B Records.”

Built on the classic one‑drop rhythm, one of reggae’s most iconic musical foundations, the compilation provides a rich backdrop for each artiste to explore themes of culture, social reflection, resilience, and positivity.

With the release of Jailhouse Set Me Free Rhythm Vol. 1, Barrett continues his mission to preserve and expand the reach of authentic reggae music while creating opportunities for both established and emerging artistes.

Barrett also revealed that this project marks only the beginning, with several additional productions already in development under the Symphony B Records banner.

Jailhouse Set Me Free Rhythm Vol. 1 will be available on all major digital streaming platforms on March 27.

The Sobriety Test Rhythm was the first project released on the Symphony B Records imprint. That project, which featured Capleton, Delly Ranx, Ffurious, and Tellah, was released in 2021 and distributed through VPAL Music.
