Shenseea Debuts Reggae Boyz’ 2024 Copa America Away Kit

Shenseea debuts new adidas and Jamaica Away Kit

Jamaican artist Shenseea has given the world its first look at the Jamaica 2024 away kit, which the Reggae Boyz will wear at their third Copa America.

In photos, the Blessed singer is seen sitting pretty in the studio in the black, green, and gold Adidas jersey, along with shorts and sneakers from the brand. The carefully thought-out Adidas x JFF release appears to pay homage to Jamaica’s National Flag with geometric graphics that also incorporate Jamaica’s National Bird, the doctor bird, or Swallow-tailed hummingbird.

It isn’t a surprise that the 27-year-old is debuting fashion by major international brands, considering that she is a fashionista in her own right.

She revealed that she will be experimenting with some unorthodox looks pretty soon.

“I haven’t stepped into the weird fashion yet but that’s where I am headed,” the Hit and Run singer said. “For me it’s an expression, I like to be talked about, when people look at me like what is she wearing, what is that. Even though it’s not the most beautiful it gets your eye, grabs your attention and to me that’s my favorite part of fashion.”

Drawing parallels between fashion and performance art, she added, “Just looking at me, my favorite thing to hear when I’m wearing something is what is that. I am about to go really crazy but just not yet, for now it’s time for the music.”

While she figures out her fashion interests, Jamaicans at home and in the diaspora love the new football kit, and they love it even more on Shenseea.

“Nah lie, I wasn’t a fan of jerseys but I would rock this,” said one supporter on Instagram.

“All about the bag. Hear that money talk 💰 😍,” another said.

Added one more online user, “I’d definitely buy that – hope it is actually for sale someplace locally.”

Loyal Shenyengs worldwide are awaiting Shenseea’s sophomore album, Never Gets Late Here, set to drop on Friday. So far, she has released Hit and Run, Die For You and Neva Neva, but continues to tease with other bits and pieces like the album’s official cover, another track Dolla in COLORSxSTUDIO collab, and even her collab with Afrobeat Giant Wizkid titled Work Me Out.
