American singer Ashanti turned heads at the club on Friday night (December 8) as she danced to the Dancehall single Jump (2012) by Jamaican duo RDX.

The 43-year-old R&B sensation, who is reportedly expecting her first child with partner Nelly, looked chic as usual, rocking a red winter fur jacket, skin-tight leggings, and thigh-high boots while hosting an event at the Main Gate nightclub in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

As the decade-old song blared from the speakers, the Rock Wit You singer raised her hands high and began rocking her hips to the beat.

“Yesssss, the good auntie hip bounce! 💃🏾,” one person comically remarked on an Instagram clip capturing the moment.

Another also joked, “Somebody told me that I tell my age every time I put my arms up to dance & now that’s all I notice 😂😂😂😂.”

RDX’s Jump tends to have an intoxicating effect on even the stiffest audiences. The song’s lively lyrics on a pulsating baseline by Waterhouse native Deejay Renigade and Kencot singer Delomar instantly gained popularity on the club scene when it was released in 2012.

Deejay Renigade (Carlton Williams) and Delomar (Andre Bedward), since launching music careers in 2003, have been known for their infectious beats, several of which have hit the music charts over the years. Their songs DaggeringDanceEverybody Dance, Shake Your Bam Bam, and Dancers Anthem reached No. 1 on the charts locally in Jamaica. Internationally, they entered the charts with their songs Skip (Poland), Movements (Poland and Panama), Deliver Me (Guyana) and For The Girls (Trinidad).

Other popular tracks recorded by the two include Lose Yourself with Major Lazer, Mash Up The Place with Sak Noel & Salvi, Ser Libre with Konshens, Broad Out, Bend OverKotchRide ItJump, and Bang!

As for Ashanti, the singer rekindled her romance with old flame Nelly earlier this year and is now said to be pregnant with her first child. “Nelly and Ashanti are welcoming their first baby together,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in a December 4 issue.

Nelly, 49, confirmed their rebooted relationship in September on a clip from Philo TV saying, “Yeah, we cool again,” and revealed that getting back together “surprised both of us though,” after ten years apart. The St. Louis rapper has two children from a previous relationship; daughter Chanelle, 29, and son Cornell Haynes III, 24.
