The Reggae Stars’ Looks At The 2023 Grammy Awards

Dancehall megastar Shaggy with his twin daughters Madison and Kelsey at the Grammy Awards red carpet.

The Jamaican Best Reggae Album nominees for the 2023 staging of the Grammy Awards were out in full effect at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Grammy winner Kabaka Pyramid, and fellow nominees Shaggy, and Koffee hit the red carpet in their fresh-to-death attire. Also, spotted donning a show-stopping ensemble was Blvk H3ro, who was nominated in the Best Global Music Performance category.

Kabaka Pyramid

The man, who took home the win in the Best Reggae Album category for his 2022 released sophomore album, The Kalling, didn’t disappoint when he made his way on stage to receive his golden gramophone.

Styled by designer ShampagneX, the Well Done singer was decked out in a tailored abstract print jacket with camel-colored suede lapel and trimmings with matching pants.

Shaggy

Shaggy, who was nominated for his album Com Fly Wid Mi, sizzled in Dolce & Gabbana’s single-breasted stretch wool Sicilia-fit Tuxedo Jacket and pants from the brand’s “Sartoriale” collection.

The exquisite piece, which he said was handpicked by his stylist, boasts updated tailoring tradition with new silhouettes and special details, such as concealed buttoning and large revers on the new Sicilia jacket that makes the iconic tailoring utterly modern.

Koffee

As for Koffee’s fashionable Grammy look, the singer wore Alexander McQueen’s MenSS23 tailored waistcoat and trousers with silver sequin and crystal astral embroidery.

The fit was worn with an ivory silk poplin shirt, and black double-breasted tailored coat – all styled by LA designer David Gangel.

The Toast singer’s twisted-braid hair art was created by Lola of Hairess Studio, with light glam makeup courtesy of WS Beauty. Koffee was nominated at last night’s 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards for her debut album Gifted.

Blvk H3ro

Blvk H3ro stepped out in style on the carpet wearing threads from fashion house Cross For God. The singer, who was styled by LA-based designer Aaron Gomez, wore the brand’s white and black graphic long trench coat with pants, and paired the look with a white turtleneck inside-shirt and red beanie.

The Young Boss singer is the first Reggae artist to be nominated in the Grammy’s Best Global Music Performance category. The award, which is reserved for international performers exhibiting “non-European, indigenous traditions,” was first presented at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, held on January 31, 2022.

Protoje

Protoje came out stunting on the Grammy red carpet with his adorable daughter by his side. The Like Royalty singer, who was nominated for his album Third Time’s The Charm, wore a standout beige corduroy jacket and pant suit, paired with a black under-shirt, Clarks shoes, and a high open crown hat.
