Producer Cordel ‘Skatta’ Burrell thanked Equal Rights singer Ishawna after he picked up a brand new Mercedes Benz S-Class, as seen in photos posted on social media over the weekend.

On Friday (November 18), the music producer showed off his new luxury ride to Instagram fans. Posing with his keys in hand, Skatta was seen sitting on the bonnet of a white S-Class, valued around $111,100 at starting cost.

“How can I not believe in Equal Rights when it [h]as brought Me so much blessings?” he wrote on the post.

Burrell was instrumental in the production of Ishawna’s Equal Rights record back when it was released in 2017. The song was inspired by Ed Sheeran’s Shape Of You, and brought a wave of controversy for its risqué narrative about oral sex, which remains taboo in Jamaica.

Ishawna has since been basking in the song’s success and is now sharing the fruits of its labor with long-time friend Skatta.

The Downsound Records producer followed up with another post on Sunday to share the experience of the big purchase. He and Ishawna were spotted at the Mercedes-Benz of Miami dealership checking out the merchandise and stopping to take photos.

Skatta thanked Ishawna for his S-Class “blessing,” mentioning it only took one swipe on the credit card.

“One Swipe💳 an it’s a S Class. Thank you @mslegendary. Glad I survived Covid to receive this blessing. #equalrightsandjustice✊🏾✊🏾 is a S class, not a Sex class,” he wrote.

The Pot of Gold singer responded, “Royalties fi yuh loyalty☺️” to Skatta’s caption in the comments.

When Ishawna signed an international record deal with New-York based Payday Records in September, she shared photos of the signing with Burrell by her side. In the post, the singer expressed how grateful she was, thanked Skatta for “always believing in me,” and how happy she was to share the moment with him.

Many witnessed the producer’s support for Ishawna after her infamous Sumfest showdown last summer when she used a life-sized cardboard cutout of Bounty Killer and imagined his face was a chair.

“No one knew about it, but I was aware of what Ishawna was gonna do. I saw her cutouts. I knew her plans that she had for what she was gonna do onstage. And I had no objections to it. People can seh mi support slackness…,” the Coolie Dance producer stated, in an Instagram Live post Sumfest.

Burrell further mentioned that the apology issued by the concert’s CEO, Joe Bogdanovich was unnecessary despite Bounty taking offense to her antics.

“Mi just vex how Joe guh mek apology,” he said at the time, adding a disclaimer stating, “That’s not my apology. This is Joe’s apology. Okay.”

“Suh Bounty neva get no apology from me… mi nuh have no reason fi give no apology to Bounty Killer. Mi nuh do Killer nuttn and Killa nuh do mi nuttn.   Ishawna had an issue with him and she addressed it. Dat a between di two a dem; mi nuh care,” he continued.

“😂 You just got started. See what one song can do,” said IG user @vybzpromoja, jokingly quoting lyrics from Ishawna’s Equal Rights.

Others joined in on the fun: “One swipe right 😂😂😂😂 woooie see what a swipe can give you a brand new Benz 💋,” one person said.

Another chimed in, “One swipe is right 😂.”

For others, they commended Ishawna for her very kind gesture. “Dis nice eeeeh…Spectacular 💫 Ready up fi round 2 👏👏,” and “Well deserved 👏 come tru ishy❤️.”

Another said, “Omg! That’s so nice of her.”
