John Legend, Jada Kingdom – Speak In Tongues

Dancehall singer Jada Kingdom has appeared in new music this week through her feature on Speak In Tongues with John Legend. The new single was released with the award-winning singer’s eighth and latest studio album LEGEND, which dropped on Friday (September 9). As expected, the pairing of these two talented vocalists has produced nothing short of an intoxicating sonic release, where there’s no need for normal banter and lovers connect on a deeper level by ‘speaking in tongues.’

Prince Swanny, Skillibeng – SHAKE

Trinibad artist Prince Swanny and Skillibeng have taken the “Shake” concept to new frontiers in this latest collaboration. The fans say this Caribbean link up is pure “chemistry”. While the two dish their unfiltered rhymes, Skillibeng proves once again there’s no limit to his lyrical prowess.

Christopher Martin – Guaranteed

Tapping Big Yard Music and Kingyard Production, Christopher Martin has come through with some feel-good music for your playlist this week. On an easy melody, the Dancehall singer promises his girl “a good time is Guaranteed” when “you a par wid me”. From dinners at “Screechie” on Hillshire beach to road trips to Dunns River Falls and Treasure Beach, no place is out of bounds. And if it’s the middle of the week, dancing at Weddy Weddy is just what she needs.

Govana – All On Me Featuring Splxnter

Govi Govi has joined forces with newcomer Splxnter for a motivational message to the youths. Produced by Emudio Records, RMG and Strike Force, All On Me, which appears on Govana’s God N Guns EP, encourages those who are overwhelmed by their tough circumstances to maintain strength. “Never meet a man without problems yet enuh, all the richest man in a di world have him problems,” Govi states in his intro before delving further into his first-hand experiences with overcoming struggles.

Skip Marley, Ayra Starr – Jane

If you’re in need of an uptempo Reggae jam to lift your mood, then this new release dubbed Jane by Skip Marley and Nigerian artist Ayra Starr will do the job. Jane, produced by Rykeyz, who also worked on Marley’s previous release Slow Down with H.E.R. in 2020, finds calm and balance in ‘love’ amid the chaos of life. The new track is one of several singles featured on Marley’s forthcoming debut album, set for release in 2023.

Bugle & Dexta Daps – Saddest Day

Taking Wayne Wonder’s symphonic Saddest Day for a spin, Bugle and Dexta Daps bring back those early 90’s Reggae vibes with an added buzz. Similar to Wonder’s narrative, it’s the saddest day of Bugle and Dexter’s lives when “she left me with a broken heart”. The two artists croon a touching breakup tune of despair and pain to detail a love gone wrong.

Rygin King – Broken

After experiencing a very tragic ordeal in 2020, which has left him paralyzed, Rygin King reveals he is “Broken” in this latest release. The track has found the artist in a reflective mood, pondering his fate and life’s journey. “Sometime mi all say if mi never take up this yah artist ting yah, if mi would a alright you nuh. Like if certain tings would ah even reach me bredda?” he considers in the intro. Nonetheless, King says he is thankful for life and a second chance to be here for his children. IWaata – Fire

Dancehall deejay IWaata is surfing the high waves of his success in his new track Fire. “Don’t try talk to me, mi nuh similar, you fi lucky when you see me, me nuh regular … jump pon a plane gone in a Trinidad, then mi make a next stop round a Canada, nonstop till mi reach the pinnacle … hot like fire suh we burning up,” he brags in his verses. The scenes, directed by Khingcam Visuals, attempt to do his lyrics justice, showing clippings of the artist performing on a stage show and what appear to be his frequent travels abroad.

Rytikal – Shoot Out

Despite his previous stance on only pushing out positive music this year, Dancehall artist Rytikal is back on the scene with another lyrically witty gun tune dubbed Shoot Out with a brand new music video by Dark Moon Cinema. There’s no telling when the set was created but the track, which dropped on Friday, issues tales of gunplay and torture in rhythmic proportions courtesy of the signature flows of the E-Syde talent.

Kash Promise Move – Big Heart

In his latest single produced by Kreative Entertainment, Kash Promise Move says he has a “Big Heart.” Existing in the wrong generation, however, makes it a challenge. Even though his heart is giving, it hasn’t stopped him from keeping an eye out on his enemies, yet he laments about wanting to disappear from “earth” and go live with “aliens.” Watch Kash in the new Kreative Klique visuals here:
