Intence’s Manager Says Jahshii Is Stirring Up Strife In Dancehall

Stephen “Fada Axe” Gabbidon, father and manager of Dancehall deejay Intence, has come out lashing Jahshii for what he describes as an attempt by the newcomer to earn stripes off his son’s success and stir up unnecessary strife among rising stars in Dancehall.

This comes after a clash between the entourages of both artists, backstage at the recently concluded Reggae Sumfest, over who should have performed first.  Intence has since admitted to laying hands on one of Jahshii’s crew members, according to his Instagram Story post yesterday.

His manager is, however, saying that Jahshii has blown the whole thing out of proportion, and if this is an attempt to have a live lyrical clash with Intence, he’s not at that level, yet.

“That youth (Jahshii) is a mad man. Him only a chat off him mouth. Everybody see that him have him mouth full ah one bag ah lie,” an enraged Fada Axe told DancehallMag.

“Mi stand up right beside Intence, and him a bore go through but him couldn’t pass go through. A one bag ah lie him a tell. Him a look attention ’bout him haffi go clash Intence first, but there are steps to reach the boss,” he added.

According to the Sumfest lineup, Intence was slated to perform just before Jahshii. It is unclear why the latter wanted to grace the stage first.

In a recent conversation YouTuber/producer Terro Don, Jahshii declared that Intence has lost momentum and that his peers had surpassed him.

“When you ah talk about new era, you have to talk about Skeng and Jahshii, dawg,” Jahshii said.  “Memba seh Intence dem, get [buss] dem time wid Skillibeng dem, an’ Skillibeng jus’ lost di whole a dem. An’ me go pon the stage after Intence.  Intence dem buss before we, and we ah run up pon the stage after dem and get more rising than dem.”

This too was rubbished by Fada Axe, who described the Born Fighter deejay as delusional.  “Intence have the biggest songs a road. Him (Jahshii) nuh get a song like Clutcha and Go Hard yet, him a chat off him mouth. We good ova yasso. It look like him under drugs,” he told DancehallMag.

As for the alleged brawl at Sumfest, Fada Axe said nobody is capable of touching his son, and that Jahshii is only attempting to stir up strife in the industry, unnecessarily.

“Him cyaa target Intence unless we allow that. Him just a chat up him mouth. We nuh see dem. Him nuh deh nowhere near Intence. Him a di hottest ting that’s why dem a try bring him down. Intence a the hottest artist. How Skeng nuh try diss him? Dancehall nuh want this war weh, Jahshii a try push.”

On the other hand, Jahshii is adamant that a clash would be most suitable to settle the dust between himself and Intence, or any of his other rivals.

“We aguh mek Heavy D book dem fi Sting…all Intence dem…run up pon Sting an’ we just rub out everybody a Sting man. Yuh nuh see how Merciless deal wid (Bounty) Killa and Ninjaman?” he told Terro Don.

The Cream of the Crop deejay also reiterated that he has no interest in going back and forth with tracks, and remains quite confident that he can take his opponents down in real-time.

“A stage we run up pon people pon. Yuh eva see mi a clash inna studio yet? Mi a nuh studio artist. Man a real Dancehall artist—suh a stage wi tek wi ting to,” the 21-year-old said.
