Starzplus Music To Release ‘Assignment’ Riddim

Popular Montego Bay-based indie label Starzplus Music is set to release a new Dancehall project in the form of The Assignment Riddim on Friday June 24, 2022.

“This project is about bringing back authentic Dancehall; we worked with some talented artistes, so we’re not focusing on just a bunch of hype,” the producer stated.

The project features several exceptional acts such as Chronic Law, Jahvillani, Ikaya, Prohgres, Lusion, Shane O, Tazar, Ryme Minista and TeeBone.

“The objective with this project is to put out good music, the type that Dancehall fans want to hear,” the producer added.

The rollout for the project has been gaining some traction; the track by Chronic Law “Live Large” was released on June 13 and is already setting the tone for what’s to come with the other tracks. The animated video for the track has already accumulated over 99,000 views on YouTube and counting.

“My hope for this project is for the artistes to get a lot of exposure, especially Starzplus artistes  Lusion and Tazar,” the producer expressed.

In the music game since 2007, the producer has worked with some notable acts in his time, producing some of the high quality projects circling the Dancehall sphere to this day. One of the biggest projects to come from the Starzplus Music label is the Black Heart Riddim, which was released in 2015 and featured major acts including Bounty Killa, Teejay and Sizzla.

Next on the producer’s agenda is a summer hit song by Teejay. Titled “Blue Cheese”, the track is touted to be the biggest song of the season.

The Assignment Riddim will be made available for purchase and streaming on major digital platforms online.
