Hitmaker Spills The ‘Naked Truth’

Dancehall producer-cum-artist Hitmaker is speaking his truth, and spilling the beans in his latest single “Naked Truth”.

Produced by his own Hitmaker Muzik and Hemton Music, the track was officially released on January 28th to rave reviews from the public.

Hitmaker addresses betrayal and shifting alliances on the edgy club banger.

“This song is a true story about my life and friends and people who I trusted and  supported all the way but when they got to the top of their game, I was no longer needed,” the artiste explained.

Released on February 7, the accompanying music video gives the artiste an opportunity to showcase his acting skills. Directed by HitGanG Films, the video has garnered quite a bit of attention since its release.

“This video is a true reflection of the real situation to some extent and I felt challenged as an artiste to convey that through my craft,” he stated.

In addition, the feedback from listeners has been geared mostly towards the track’s relatability, with many referring to him as ‘the voice of the voiceless.’

“Honestly, I do real music and leave it all on the track so the listeners can decide its place not just on the charts but also in their hearts. From an artiste’s standpoint, my hope is for the track to go straight to the top and be a hit,” he expressed.
No stranger to hits, Hitmaker has been skilfully navigating the music industry with his multiple hats, building a catalogue of riddims and singles that have surely appealed to the masses. His past releases include “9 Months”, “Body Calling” and “Dah Look Deh.”

“As an artiste, I try to be different and use words in the most creative way I can so my songs typically tell the raw truth,” the artiste said.

There is much more in the pipeline for Hitmaker, as he has several productions lined up for the year.

“I have so many singles, riddims and music videos on the way, as well as a collaboration that is coming soon. I even have my debut EP that I’m working on so look out for that,” he revealed.
