Everybody seems to be talking about The Tinder Swindler, after popular streaming service Netflix, aired an almost two-hour feature on how the conman, Simon Leviev, finessed several women out of cash by posing as a wealthy diamond heir, and selling them fabricated stories.

Well, the ‘Swindler’ is now making legit cash on Cameo, a social media platform that allows celebs to send personalized messages and videos to fans.  Jamaica’s very own artist/producer Rvssian appeared to be among those who put down over US$30,000 within Leviev’s first three days of joining Cameo, with requests for birthday shoutouts, pep talks, happy anniversary videos, and more.

On Monday, the popular producer who’s known locally and internationally posted the 16-second shoutout video from Leviev to his Instagram page, which immediately sent tongues wagging.

“Hey, Rvssian! How are you? It’s Simon Leviev. Congratulations to Rvssian—I heard that you’re the best music producer in the business, and you fighting a lot, a lot of enemies; including mine. Congratulations, my friend! Take care. Wish you a great and magnificent day,” said the swindler in the video that Rvssian captioned, “ENEMIES..My enemies, Your enemies 🤔🤣 Have a magnificent day 😂😂”

In the documentary, Leviev was constantly “in trouble”, and by the end of it, viewers learn that he was arrested in 2019. He only served five months, out of a 15-month sentence, although he managed to finesse approximately US$10 million from his victims.

Cameo defended its decision to partner with the convicted felon after receiving widespread backlash online earlier this week. The platform said it doesn’t “endorse the beliefs or opinions of the talent,” but they believe “customers are in control” of the endorsements they choose to make.  One of Swindler’s accusers, Pernilla Sjoholm, said that it was “heartbreaking” that a company wants to “collaborate with a criminal.”

Meanwhile, some of Rvssian’s fans certainly had a field day once they saw the clip.

“Who else can get dem dub plate ya?” commented one follower.

“Braaaaaa are you the new tinder monster 👺 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 where the enemies at 🔥🔥🔥🔥 😂😂😂😂,” said another.

Many will know Rvssian for his earlier breakout releases on records with Vybz Kartel’s Straight Jeans And Fitted and Life Sweet, along with Pull Up To Mi Bumper featuring Konshens and the late J Capri, and Passion Whine featuring Sean Paul and Puerto Rican singer Farruko, which was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

He is also known for collaborating with some huge international acts such as Tyga, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, French Montana, Post Malone, Bad Bunny, Travis Scott Juice Wrld, and even Carlos Santana.
