Chris Demontague Warns Of A ‘Silent Night’

With the upsurge of crime across the island amid serious societal ills, reggae singer Chris Demontague has released a Christmas song dubbed ‘Silent Night’ that appears to capture a dark, chilling snapshot of a country struggling with serious moral decay, even as Christmas approaches.

Demontague’s vision – even with its Yuletide title – is no feel-good ditty chock full of Christmas cheer.

“The more I conduct research, read and smoke herbs, the more I realize that the system is broken, it only benefits a few, and this is driven home even more so with the excess and shameless commercialization of Christmas,” he said.

“This song serves a dual purpose, one is to teach the people the history, we celebrate but we don’t realize the origins of Christmas, and what this pagan holiday means. We as a people need to understand our past before we know our future, and two, this is a wake up call to the authorities that we can’t pretend anymore, we have to realize what is going on, face the reality that there is a growing disparity between the haves and have-nots. We need real change, a revolution,” Chris Demontague said.

The song will be released on the Danger Zone Music Group imprint on December 15th via all digital download platforms.

Chris Demontague is known for singles such as Missing You and Couldn’t Believe, but his music has taken on a more revolutionary and socially conscious stand in recent months.

He will be releasing a video for the project next week.

Danger Zone Music Group executive Edward “9” Warren revealed that Silent Night is the first single from the upcoming EP entitled ‘Mixed Emotions’ which will be released in February 2022 for Black History Month.

“The EP has 7 awesomely produced tracks that covers conscious social commentary and lovers rock. We have a mixture of Afro beats and Trap Reggae fusions throughout the tracks so it’s definitely going to be a different sound than what Chris was previously known for!” Warren said.

A second single, ‘Revolution’, will be released in the first week of January 2022.

“Chris Demontague is a versatile artist who has a very distinctive sound and is able to do authentic Reggae while also able to switch up his vocals to connect with other genres.”

“DZMG is of the opinion that Chris Demontague has all the assets and discipline required to develop his talents into becoming a household name across the globe. We are committed to providing him our professional services and support in an effort to achieve greatness across the board for both artist and label,” Warren said.
