Rap superstar Cardi B couldn’t hold back her excitement about Libra Season and her 29th birthday, which she celebrated with a Dancehall-themed Passa Passa party last night.

Cardi, who is of Dominican descent, is an avid lover of Dancehall and is often loud and proud about her love for the music and culture.  Passa Passa was a weekly Wednesday night party series in West Kingston, Jamaica that attracted locals from various communities and visitors alike. It was known to go into the wee hours of the morning.

On Monday evening, Cardi took her love for Dancehall to the streets, putting together a star-studded birthday extravaganza at River Studios in Los Angeles, which was decorated with Caribbean flags.

Here are the best moments from inside the event.

‘This Is Not No Stush Party’

The resident DJs were Polish and Noah Powa, who started off the event by saying, “Right now we are gonna get to the party and get crazy in this b-tch, just remember this is not no stush party”.

By Cardi’s side, was husband Offset, 1/3 of the Migos rap group, whom she playfully encouraged to perfect his daggering moves before the party.  “ON GOD @OffsetYRN you better be practicing your daggering moves cause I want you to break my spine on the dancehall floor at my party,” Cardi B tweeted ahead of the party.

For someone who was born in Atlanta, Offset has definitely learned a thing or two from his wife. He previously laid down some pretty impressive moves at their daughter Kulture’s 3rd birthday party, which featured a dancehall segment laced with Vybz Kartel and more.

Offset rocked his best don dada fit—a simple all Black tank, and at one point during the event, he surprised his wife with a house in the Dominican Republic.

Shenseea and Cardi B Meet For The First Time.

For her Birthday Passa Passa, Cardi pulled out all the stops with performances by the Queen of Dancehall Spice, Ding Dong, Kranium, Mr. Vegas, and Shenseea, who she met for the first time.

“Run dah one yah fi har nuh man, wah happen to unuh, bad gal Cardi,” Shenseea said before her performance of the “Shenyeng Anthem,” which Cardi sang along with, word for word.

Shenseea’s friend and stablemate Ding Dong then took the stage with his signature “Bad Man Forward Bad Man Pull Up” energetic style.

Spice And Megan With The Good Knees

Later on, Spice and Megan Thee Stallion thrilled attendees as they both twerked to her Shaggy and Sean Paul collab, Go Down Deh.

Sean Paul could not attend the event, but his presence was still felt with a personalized dubplate of his mega-hit Temperature.

Quavo Had The Full Dancehall Experience.

Among the other celebrity guests in attendance were Rvssian, Normani, Winnie Harlow, Ella Mai, Oxlade, Snoop Dogg, Lizzo, Teyana Taylor, Ella Mai, Cardi’s beloved sister Hennessy and her Migos cousin-in-law Quavo.

Quavo had yet another viral moment with an aggressive dancer in a green bob wig who put some authentic Dancehall moves on the Strub The Ground rapper, who seemed barely capable of handling the velocity.

Megan and Normani looked on with polite yet visible concern as he did his best to handle the dancer.

Normani! 😍

Normani also had a viral moment of her own, showcasing her dancefloor skills with an impromptu routine that highlighted her mean wine with a trademark split. She definitely set the party off right inna dancehall style.
