A family feud.

That is how Buju Banton’s son Jahazeil Myrie has described the situation which has left his sister Abihail and her father at odds, in what has been a dramatic last 12 hours which has seen Abihail accusing the ‘Til Shiloh artist of trying to strangle her, and in turn, he filing a missing report for her with the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

Maurice McCurdy—the Attorney-at-law for Abihail’s mother Lorna Strachan—has subsequently told the Jamaica Gleaner this afternoon that his client informed the Constant Spring Police that her daughter is safe.  Strachan is the mother of five of Buju’s children.

Abihail, a 21-year-old model, has also confirmed that she is not missing and rebuked her Twitter followers who have been asking for evidence that she is alive and well.  She also said that her sister Jodian had joined forces with Buju to report her missing, as they ‘did not want her alive’.

“I’m not missing. They are lying. My sister Jodian and my dad are doing this because I proved that he abused me. and has been abusive- not only to me but everyone around him and them. They are doing this to trick you all because they are trying to kill me,” she tweeted on Tuesday evening.

“How can I, my daddy’s ‘princess’ be missing and he is sooo nonchalant about it. not one post. come on,” she added.

The Gleaner newspaper first reported this afternoon that Abihail was missing since Saturday, October 9, and that the Jamaican Constabulary was seeking the help of the public to find Abihail, who is of a West Meade, Belgrade Heights address in Kingston 19.

The missing report had come several hours after a series of photographs were posted on her Instagram account accusing her father of physically abusing her.

Jahaziel says it’s a family feud

This morning Jahazeil had posted on Twitter that the situation was nothing more than a father-daughter squabble, with which he does not want to get involved.   Hours later, after the missing persons report was made for Abihail, Jahazeil categorically denied that his little sister was missing.

Jahaziel, in a series of tweets, which he began posting shortly before 10 o’clock, also said he wanted nothing to do with the drama, and shortly after 5:00 pm noted that: “My sister is not missing all of that is a lie”.

“Please I’m not apart of the family feud. I separate myself from everyone and everything because I’m doing music and it’s going to affect me and my career I don’t know what to say… Im doing my music by my self if you notice please dnt get me involved,” he wrote in one tweet.
